Thread: Anyone going to pick up the LLC tree now?

OK, for those people that missed it, the BH profession is being changed so that the pre-reqs will now be master marksman/exploration 4. What this means is that we will now be able to dabble in the bh profession to fill out our templates better. The top of my list is to pick up the LLC tree, as thats a fairly unique damage type. I could also see picking up the BH pistol tree to get some speed and specials for the lp, although its probably still better to dabble in the pistoleer tree if this is all you want. Also, investigation missions can be pretty easy to pick up some quick cash as long as you don't go up the tree.

no go bh pistol for lp you get 80 speed and 80 accuracy as oppposed to 74 at master pistol and 95 accuracy, i know the accuracy is lower but the speed is great and you get soem damn good specials. eye shot torso shot and bleed shot.

I'd have a tough time leaving the TKM line. However, getting the LLC is a nice touch. Heavy weapons experience and having a bonafide AP heavy weapon is nice. The inherent accuracy isn't far off from the current HAR. Also, Garvin mentioned skill tapes will be consolidated into one type as far as heavy weapon mods go.
If not the LLC line, I would go with the BH carbine line. It suits the image of a Commando more, IMO.

the LLC is a nice choice ( I love mine got a nice krayt one) and properly made isn't terribly inaccurate and it is nice to have the armor peircing

I'm picking up LLC. I want to see how helpful that is in hunting down Black Sun guys on Yavin.

I wil lgrab it for the DWB, and I like haveing the FT,HAR,LLC as my main weapons

damn...that carbine tree looks mighty good. I'd do it if I had the SC....but sadly our SC amount will stay the same 
which means i couldn't go up 2 boxes in scout

What I would guess is going to happen is that you are going to see a lot of master carbine or master pistoleer with some bh mixed in, in effect mimicing what bh's had been doing with pistoleer previously. I don't think this is a bad thing, since it could encourage different bh templates (like master bh with some other things, vs mater pistoleer with 4/04/0 bh) They would both be bh's, but use different tactics to get the job done, which was really the point of the skill based system in the first place. As for commandoes, I don't see bh carbine being that much of a benefit for us since we don't have any carbine skills beyond our marksmen skills, and the weapon switching delay makes this not so viable for putting status effects on enemies. In contrast picking up bh pistol would be nice for those commandoes that enjoy using the lp and the llc tree would give us a weapon to use when we run into the all to common mobs with high fire and acid resists.

I don't blame you guys, but man, It makes me so sad to see my profession carved up and be assimilated just to suppliment the lacking parts of other professions.
Just makes me want to cry.
My profession has lost its uniqueness, it just becomes a part for all the other professions to pick and choose what they want.

I totally feel your pain. 
At this point in time, there really is no significant meaning to mastering bounty hunter. With this new change, the bounty hunter profession has become the most dabbler-encouraging profession where anyone can come in to pick and choose as they wish.
Let's just see how things turn out in the next few weeks or months....

Yeah, I may well dabble in this with Master Commando. I refuse to drop MC for anything though, I will see it through to whatever
