Hi guys, Im brand new to the cammando world, i just finished my template last thursday and want to shoot for FS right now. BUT there is one major problem...... commando is quite possibly the most broken proffesion ever!

My template is Mcommando Msmuggler pistols 0004 and medic 0040.

I figured this would be great for pvp and id be able to handle myself in some pve quests. Well I was horribly wrong. The whole point of comm/smugg is to do area crowd control and this is were my problems start.... I pull out my proton carb and attempt to concussion shot a small grp of sith but wait the aoe dosent work so the others go crazy after i fire and I have to pull out my plasma thrower. I try concussion shot again but wait the dot unfrezzes them imediatly. AGHHHH so i try to root them HOORAY it works but they are all still fireing. Problem is this stupid plasma thrower is only 270 dps and it really dosent do much damage without any commando attacks. So then I must pull out my uber 370 dps fwg5 and start to unleash hell...only problem is now since all my skill points are tied up in commando i dont have any great attacks to use with it! CAN YOU GUYS HELP ME! Am I doing something wrong? Can u give me some sdvise on how to fix my template...thanks it would be much appreciated!!!!

commando 0001 is all you need to give your smuggler aoe ability to use its abilities.

You took commando thinking damage... that was your mistake. (sadly)

I might rework my template abit what commando weapons currently have working AOE without dots?

What you are looking for to lay your smuggler states is the acid stream launcher.

I love my Commando char. She's great when it comes to shooting things from a distance but when it comes to close combat she does tend to fall pretty quick so what I went for is Commando/TKA so that when she does come into close combat (later on once I've progressed her TKA a little, trying to get Master Commado atm),she can pretty much stand up for herself.

Yes I am looking to lay out my smuggler attacks with a non dot weapon so they stick.....which weapons would be good for this

Hehe silly FS grinder. Anyways, use the Acid Stream Launcher for your smuggler mezzes, then all will be green pastures and blind mezzed sith. Who know, you may end up liking Commando so much that you make your alt a Commando. Oh, and commandos are the Kings/Queens of aggro PvP and PvE. So be ready to have every glowstick and their mother after you for mezzing, Rooting, and otherwise tripping up the lot of them.

As a Commando/Smuggler I can say this...don't fight the insanity. Just relax and let it overtake you. The maniacle laughter really helps when you see everyone else getting revamps.
