Well guy's I don't know what to say, is the **edit** broken? Is it not? Well here's what I've been messing with...
Killed some giant sand beetles. used FlameSingle2 on the first one:
11000~ dmg impact at first, dot's were 1000~ dmg.
FlameCone2 was basically the same as FlameSingle2 (as it should be, damage wise).
FlameSingle2 and FlameCone2 on a single giant sand beetle:
Same damage as above, but it seems (noticable) that it burned a lot faster than the other ones, it looks like the dot's were going both at the same time, which I think is what we all feared that would be changed, was it not?
Honestly, I don't see many changes, none that would really make a huge difference in what was pre-patch.

So you mean after you tried to stack DoTs the target was burned for the same damage as non-stacked DoTs, but it ticked faster?

Yup, basically 2x the rate (same as prepatch) - I'm doing 10k damage constantly with these flames, I think the devs screwed up again.

Well here it's not like that at all, flamed rebel generals and commando and DoT does bout 500-900 dmg wich is like 5 times less than before, if that's not a nerf i don't know what a nerf is.
Considering i do 500 dmg on a npc, on pvp it'll be like 100 dmg a thick wich is a **edit**ING joke.
And this char is master commando as well i'm just using flame single and cone II.
So i guess i won't play this char and stick to sonya till they fix it (like in 10 years).
Another wonderful feature brought to you by the jellyfish brained devs, i hope SOE will someday hire peeps who actually play the game for SWG and who have 3 numbers in their IQ, because doing such a nerf to commando is kinda BS.

We just have to deal with the fact that everyone gears up for heat resistance because so many people were 0/0/4/0 dabblers (including me as of tonight), and dabble further in other profs to gain an advantage over people that buy 80 percent heat resistant armor...We just have to pick and choose our battles in PvE, so if that means steering clear of rancors, so be it...So in dropping the three worthless skill trees, I am going to pick up 0/0/4/0 pistoleer, 0/0/4/0 smuggler, and maybe some TKA if I have enough points...I hate to do it, but I just have no choice...
I feel the same way, I swore I wouldn't but I will probably cut my commando down to a 0/0/4/0 dabbler special as well, and get some scout back and go for pistoleer. Being as I am at work and haven't logged in today to check anythingout yet I will have to wait and see for sure.I also hate to do it , but I too see no alternative.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned here.
Yes, bleeds now have more initial damage. But that's offset by the fact they are targeting random pools, even when named.
So, a swordsman MindHit1 does a random type of damage, then a greatly reduced amount per tick against mind.
For commando, this means that you do massive damage against a random pool, but dot health.
This severly limits the usefulness of doing more damage on the initial hit, since the damage isn't (necessarily) going to the same pools.

They didn't mess up, that was just the way commando should be, strong.

Well, at least the FT isn't useless like we feared it would be. Now to go play around with it some.

Funny thing, me and my master commando friend were out earlier playing around with the FT. I dropped down 4040 in hopes of picking master back up at a later date and he is a master. I was doing consistant 9-11k flamesingle2s with about 1000-1500 dot dmg on voritors and he was doing 8-9k with slitghtly lower dot dmg. My ft is 1047dmg and his is 900 something. Why should I be mater? hmmm

I hate to say it and although im not yet master i havent noticed any difference in PVE (I dont PvP so cant comment).
What i frankly cant understand is why on earth they cant fix a simple labelling problem with our titles but they can screw about with the complex mechanics in the combat engine.
Go figure.
