Screw this, I invest time into a different profession (pistoleer) and now they nerf my knockdown pistol whip by giving it ungodly HAM penalties. Im tired im cranky and plain and simple Ive been so dissapointed with this game that it's just not fun to play anymore. Why would they nerf a point blank knockdown against monsters. WHY!!!! Did they not want us soloing mt squills for 10 minutes to get 3k pistol xp. OMFG and it doesn't seem any of the mobs that add in mind boggling numbers were toned down. Can't defend against assist mobs, whats the point of trying. Im not enjoying it so why bother...

Pistol whip was the only thing that saved me for this long after being so dissapointed with commando I finnaly worked my way up to it.... god so aggrivating

Im pissed about this insane HAM cost now to.

I then though wait...Im TKA also I read they improved TKA styles, so I swapped out my launcher pistol for my knucks, ran up to a perlek and BAM knocked his ass down with my TKA knockdown and it cost me OVER 250 HAM. WOW gg devs.

"To be realistic," says one member, "if you're in a combat environment where people are out there with assault rifles and heavy machine guns, your [stuff] is pretty weak if you're out there with a handgun. A handgun would typically be used for escape and evasion, which means that everything's gone to hell."

Meridian 59 ia awesome if you aren't super concerned with graphics and like wide-open PvP. Prolly the most balanced mmo out there because it's been around for 6 friggen years hehe. Thegame is skill based, so you don't have to grind for hours and hours.Still more fun than any game out there IMO, but I am also enjoing SWG right now...of course all that might change when I finally become a commando

if you love huge worlds, a ton of content, monthly updates, and hate forced grouping, then try out Asheron's Call (not AC2, i mean the first Asheron's Call). AC2 is a disgrace, but AC1 is great! You could also try out Anarchy Online, that's another good game

Actually the one I'm really looking forward to is Mythica website being Mythica.com

Yes I know it's a Microsoft game but for someone who has spent as much time researching mythologies as I have, norse especially, it's one I hope I'll love.

I played Planetside when it was still in beta. It was basically a giant online capture the flag but with no permanence. 6 or so continents with bases on them you take your squad of people and go capture the base, capture all bases on the continent and you lock it from the other factions. It was a fun game for a while but it gets boring fighting at the same bases over and over again. I will admit though I had some of the greatest fights I've ever been in in an online game in Planetside.

if you want some great ingame footage from Planetside watch some of the movies here

I played Planetside beta and in retail but after awhile it got borring esp when the DEVs just wanted constant zerg battles. I found some solace for awhile workng with a couple friensds of mine trying to just steal enemy tanks!

A really pyscological morale booster for our side, and a real morale buster for the other side! To see their own tanks rolling toward them flying Vanu colors Heh heh it seemed as soon as we had a couple the defenders always left.

But as time went on, the DEVs keept pushing for bigger battles by limiting the options for your stratiges, and the larger empires would always win. Terran Republic first New Conglomerate second and the samllest the Vanu last.

I got tired of the spawn, charge, die, spawn, charge, die.

I don't know if you like those kinds of games you might like it.
