Thread: Can commandos beat TKA?

i'm a commando 3/4/4/2 and i got killed by TKA master who also mastered rifleman. i was fully buffed wearing composite armor, but he killed me in 5or 10 seconds..hahaha he was damn strong. he knocked me down and did the fancy moves. i couldn't even use falmesingle2 because it happend to fast.

is there anyway to beat TKA? well it was my first time to PVP so i was in panic. but still....i couldn't believe i got killed in seconds...i'm not a PVP mania but i just want to know whether commandos can beat TKA.

yeh they can, master would help alot as u gte faster and alot more accurate, but them being a TK rifleman even if u were a master commando it would be real hard coz of the defenses of rifleman

You would be very hard-pressed to defeat either of those proffessions, actually. TKA can knock you out of the fight pretty fast, and rifleman will dominate your mind pool via headshots and a T-21. If you see either of those proffessions on the batllefield - hide.

do yourself a favor and get yourself some 80% kinetic resist armor and some good Thatikillo (butchered the spelling i know) and your not going to be touched... heres a little simulation




TKM Uses Spitting Loser Attackfor 1467 points of damage!

Your 80% Kinetic Armor Prevents 1450 Points of damage!

Bah...Hes dead in one Flame Single 2

well not true i have 90% armor and i got kd +dizzy and he did hedhit (not all tks are dumb and uh3 all the way ) and he took 2000 of my mind bfor i got up


i wasint a commando at the time tho so i finished him off with a tk kd dizzyand then retuned the faver lol (he not haveing the mind buf i did )


thing is a commando would stand no changs being they couldnt kd dizzy and that they miss a tk 50% of the time

i agree with maddogs...even with 80% kinetic armor..many times they can get through either thru a hole in the armour and using other types of attacks


furthermore..when your KD/Dizzied..you aint getting up for a while..and unless your buffed, still 20% of damage PLUS the bonus damage when your on the ground will be more than enough to kill you in a few seconds...TKA's have one of the strongest DPS in the game


and on that note..if by chance you survive the initial blast...chance are you will NOT hit the TKA with your first, or even second flame single...ive fought many TKMs..and many a time i never even connected with my special (3 mins of trying to one battle...around 5-6 shots, ALL MISSED, then i got KDed and i died in 5 seconds)


also..alot of TKMs are also Master Commandos...or Fencer or another melee class...


So HELL NO, we cant kill a TKA 1 on 1..hell we can barely kill most proffessions 1 on 1..UNLESS if we take up MP, TKM, or another elite class that has COUNTERS and ACTUAL DEFENSE


and even then...most likely you'll die from the 50% misses from your flamethrower...which also reminds us:


What good does it do for us with high damage, when we miss and die without being abletodo it?

I've found a nearly foolproof method to beating TKM's. I say nearly, because it only works approx 9 times out of 10. Go into an opposing factionally aligned city, go to the cantina and the medical center. Look for the TKM's with (AFK) over their head. Ok, go up to them, kneel, and flamesingle2. This is where the 1/10 comes in. If you miss, their toon's autoattack will most likely kill you, if you hit, (assuming they're unbuffed, unarmored, etc.) you win! This is, like I said, nearly foolproof way to beat TKMs. Enjoy!


Disclaimer: I don't really use this... lol it's just a bit of a humorous touch on the subject

Once beat a TKM. We were both unbuffed. He had no armor, I had composite. My flamethrower is 3.1 speed, normal damage of about 468-840 or something.


We did a friendly duel in the cantina. - It started like this.


Accept duel, get KD+dizzy , hit stand once, I stood up, flamesingle2 = win.


He was upset that I got up from a kd dizzy ( which you can, but hiting stand again while standing up from one causes you to fall back down ). This was after the fire dot nerf so his ham was nearly gone. His ham was designed soley for mind, high mind and low health and action since buffs are way out of control these days. It was sort of easy, but then again it could have very easily turned ugly.


That was realy the only time i did a friedly deul with a TKM. All the other times they would be the opposite faction with crazy armor and buffs along with food. I dont think I have to tell you who wins those battles

yeah there are fights like this..but many times they're abnormal and rare


ive defeated just 2 TKAs (werent masters i dont think) in my short PvP lifetime...and it was using that trick...keep spamming stand up and you CAN get a flame single through occassionally..but you gotta do it quick before you die or miss! though its pathetic thats really the only way around these guys dont you think?...and it rarely goes in our favor
