Okay so everyone in the commando community...what do you think? Do you wear armor or not? If you do what type of armor do you wear? I am a struggling Master Commando want to be and I have tried Composite (which saps my stats down to almost nothing to wear a full suit), I have tried Padded (which seems to not protect that much) and others. So what do you say? To Armor or Not to Armor?

I almost never wear armor. Most of the time fight in either Hot Pants, or no pants.

I have a macro that quickly switches between my armor and my bio-eng'd clothes (+14 to camo/mask scent and wound treatment/med skill). So I normally wear my BE clothes until something turns its attention to me, then I hit the macro and quickly switch to my 56% composite.

I almost always wear armor in PvP, it's a must to wear a helmet... Everyone and their brother has Eyeshot it seems(Haven't check if it has been move yet or not). I'd say wear only the BP,Legs and Helmet. I'd possibly wear the boots just to match a bit, but I'd sayget some BE clothing. I have some +16/+16 Warcry and Intmidate. As well as Mask Scent,Camo, and Wound/Injury Treatment, these things are what will save your life.

PVE I usually wear ubese with low HAM requirements as most of my targets deal out kinetic damage. Also it is a good thing to wear some form of armor especially since you have to close in at 16m to use specials. As for PVP does anyone do that anymore?

I use good helmet and chest plate and actually chitlin arm and bone forarm, for the reasons above, to much HAM loss otherwise. Mainly I use arm armor to asorb kinetic damage, otherwise I'd skip it.

Full set of Ubese 71% with HAM slice. Put on a Composite Helmet for PvP or keep the Ubese for PvE. Get a buff either way and you'll make the money back in a few mission. Also, I second the BE clothing. I have a undershirt that is camo/maskscent +14 and I used the Warcry/Intimidate +14 while getting brawling, BIG difference. You can also disrobe the armor in camp to get better regen if it's clear all around.

Well I am about to hit master comando and so far I have been using a full set of Advanced Composite (except boots and gloves because I am a Trandoshan) with 76% full resists made by a master armorrmith and then sliced by a master Smuggler for a reasonable HAM tolerance. I can go toe to toe with a warlord and hardly ever use my graul mauler for additional agro. However i am curious if armor slows the speed of a flamethrower down as I have heard some comandos say. I have not tested this but I have hear comandos swear that they achieve remarkable speed by wearing thier birthday suits and such.

Full suit of Composite for me, nothing less. I think it has around 70% resists. If I get Doctor Buffs, I never have to worry about dying. The only thing I do have to worry about is my mind, but that's what Muon Gold's are used for.

not really a question in my mind. If you can afford a full (and wearable) suit of composite with decent resists you should be wearing it.
