I was in coro last night in a group. we had looked all over for some PvP in players cities, found none, so we were hanging around in coro hoping to get lucky. Of course, what happens, we get bored, and start dueling one another. i go into the cantina to heal some bf from this, and I find to people dueling with flamethrowers in cantina, I quickly examined them, and lo and behold, neither had ever mastered markman. So I challanged both to a duel. one accepted. Now I'm a commando, so I am certed and do have flame 1 and two, guess what happened, nasty flame dot. almost insta incap. She's on fire, and i know no one in my group is going to throw a fire blancket on her, because she was just lagging them horribly. So db'ed her. (Hey she's on fire and going to triple incap anyway) She never says a word, but the guy she was previoulsy dueling with gives me a hard time. Was I wrong?

Nothing was ever sad about no db, actually no words were ever said except OWIEE OWIEEE.

on a side note anyone knows what decent loot barrels can give me or lowering spedd on a flamethrower? I have an imp stock, and some -.49 tissues. i figure as long as I'm going to use an imp stock, (I'm a reb so they are reletively hard to come by) i might as well go all out.

i dont think you were wrong, i mean you were either gonna hear complaints about the dot, or db, so you just picked one.

when dueling a commando, death is the only possible outcome.

I don't think you were wrong in db'ing her. You actually saved her the incap time and the humiliation of just standing there burning to death.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with barging into a cantina and setting random people on fire.

In fact, I think it's pretty damn funny.

But, let's remember that I'm not entirely stable here.

Not really, most PvP'ers have Doc 4030 to heal all that crap, including Fire. Plus commando's acuracy is horrible.

Looks to me they may have been Commando hopefuls. So...hehehe...the DB may have helped our cause!

Naw buddy, you did the right thing, kinda like putting down an animal that will suffer much longer if you don't just "end" the suffering. Personally, I usually PM them after the fact, and make sure there is no hard feelings. Unless there was previouse ill will, and in that case, I use some specials from my Smartass TechniquesTree....lol

Sláinte and good job.

Erm...I pretty sure he was refering to the fact that in PvP, death is the only possible outcome for the Dueling Commando. Therefore,a Commandos dueling, will result in a Commando dying. So you ARE correct in saying that most PvP'ers have Doc 4030 and Commando's have a hard time with accuracy. BUT Tuscanspeed is very correct in stating that death will be the only outcome...FOR THE COMMANDO.
