I've been trying to use this special as an opening attack with my proton rifle. I noticed that it does about as much damage as my bounty hunter special "advanced critical shot". With a charge up/cooldown time as long as that, that shot REALLY should be doing FAR more damage.
With crit shot, I can do that damage once every, what? 3-5 seconds? Yet overkill is basically medocre damage with a HUGE timer.
Anyone agree, disagree? Any evidence shows either way? Besides just my weapons..

I have noticed this and it seemed that my "advanced critical shot" with my proton rifle does more damage than the overkill shot. ? My proton rifle has 1033 damage 1.47 mod speed so IM not sure i dueled 2 different combat medic BH's and i was unable to over come there fire dot (272 per hit) but i did not use my own fire dot i will be tryin this later to see if it is as effective as the combat medics i have dueled?

This has been a major issue that has recieved no dev-word since October 8th, back when things were still on testcenter. No acknowledgements, nothing...we're going to have to wait for something to happen, but in the meantime I've been trying to get attention to this...

Goodluck starnick. I reactivated my account just because of the "commando love", and instead of seeing a nice romantic dinner type of love, I'm seeing an epiose of HBO's Oz type of love for us Commando's.....

Oh well, it's nice to have some specials. It just sucks that most of them are irrelevant. Are we suppose to be heavy dmg dealers or nay? If so our specials should be doing MORE damage than this.

But I mean, how difficult is it to give us some basic special that WORK the way they should. The devs could do it in one day if they WANTED to. I've seen them during JtL beta, they were able to make MASSIVE changes on the fly, everyday, back to back.
Yet I promise you, they won't change our specials so they work.

I tried my new specials with my guildies and when ever I tried Advanced Overkill during a duel the timer was so long thatthe attack broke and my special fired nothing...
Aany one else experienced this?

Patch 24 came out.. Couldnt wait to get on to try out the new specials for Commando... Log on, got a group togeather to take out a imp base someone placed on our borders. Grab my weapon and head in taking point, figuring i was going to open a can of whoop @ss. So I am at my first Victim and hit the Overkill Special... I watch with anticipation as the attack bar slowly fill ups, thinking Hot Damn this is going to be good, then BOOM !!!! I look at my victims health bar and noticed it hardly moved, so I glanced at the combat logs and 540 points of damage !?!?!? What the Hell !!!!!
My can of Whoop @ss turned into a can of Jello Pudding

Yes advanced overkill seems inferior to almost all other ranged attacks.
In addition, i've found that advanced demolition shot only boosted dmg to a lair (assuming a lair counts as a building and qualifies for the dmg bonus) by about 50%... after a warm up that was about 50% longer than the duration of a round of my "ranged attack" default attack.
So at best, demolition shot seems to break even with the novice marksman attack when directed ata lair (assuming a lair counts as a "building").
