Been scanning through the board the last few days and have seen mentions of people taking down krayts solo. I always thought as a commando i wouldnt be able to manage this. Can someone please give some information on how?

Is it mainly via charged weapons like RL's and HPBC's? or is it the old burn feign death method?

krayts are bugged now

I got killed twice yesterday in a matter of seconds...seems they bypass armor

and you can solo a krayt as tk/commando with some medic...always keep him intimidated...flame him then swtich to tk to tank

You would need a melee profession with some kind of defenses, or a tank. Stand behind the tank, and fire your specials, and stack those DoTs

You can take one down, but good lucking actaully getting loot rights. I recommend you do only low lvl PvE till C.U, currently we have a hard time doing anything that could be considered "Competitive" w/ other professions.

nope not tried the burn FD method. thats why im here

asking if its possible to do that?

and low level pve? pfft no thanks. i may not do the really high lvl stuff like nightsisters etc but i can certainly hold my own against alot of medium and higher level npcs.

ya just DOT to hell use a bike run outta range or FD, simple simple

itlle eventually die with stacked dot, usually within 10 minutes an under.... prob now is findin em cuz there so dam camped lol

8 Step Program for Soloing Krayts/Elders/GDK/Other:

1) Obtain Master Swordsman (for blast damage)

2) Obtain Master Brawler (for intimidate2)

3) Obtain 4000 Doctor (for curing diseases, stun, dizzy, bleeds)

4) Obtain CA/AA's for speedcapping Swordsman

5) Obtain damage sliced acklay Powerhammers

6) Find krayt/elder/gdk/other, and attack mind. Heal dizzy/disease/stun/etc as necessary

7) Loot corpse

8) Repeat steps 6-8 as necessary

Krayts are easily soloable with a TKM / Commando build.

Stack dots, play defense as a TKM, rinse and repeat...

Hate to burst your wet dream about "Swordsman", but I can take a GDK down in 4minutes with a Flame Thrower - see a swordsman do that.

Also, the Flame Dot Bypasses all armor stats. Further, ive used my flame thrower for 3 months (all of 150 condition is gone on it - say that for an acklay hammer).

My build is:

TKM
Commando 0040
Pistoleer 0043
Medic 0040

I can solo Anything (Krayt, Elders, GDKS, Nyax, Nova Troopers - you name , i can solo it)

Tell you what....

If there was a way to put your toon on ahazi, or mine on wanderhome with our respective equipment, I would bet every credit I have (and its quite a bit), and every item in my inventory that:

A) I will outdamage you, EVERY time, thus getting loot rights

B) Standing toe to toe with ANY NPC in the game, I last longer....

C) I will kill it quicker than you

Speedcapped swordsman (like me)with 1000-1200 damage acklay PH's like mine are will eat every professions lunch (except for MLS Jedi) in the damage/loot department. Also, I have used the SAME PH that I have had since I mastered Swordsman. 5 months ago.

As far as the construction worker on your board comment, you are making the mistake of assuming I dont have, or have never had a commando. Commando was the first profession I mastered (besides marksman, of course), and every toon I have has been, or currently IS a Commando. Dont assume things, because you know what that does...

Elders? 100 percent resist to heat/kinetic, 35 percent to blast- no chance there...Your burn wont hold a candle to me hitting for 2500-3500 EVERY second...Your TKA is worthless here. Using a 250 (at best, unless you have prenerf) max LP? Good luck. I'll see you next week by the time you take it down with that.

Giant Canyon Krayts? 75 percent across the board here...You have NO chance

Juvies? You might have a shot here, but...No...You wont.

GDK? 100 percent resist to heat...65 to kinetic and blast...Again, you have NO chance

Flamers have NO AP. PH's are AP2...I hit every second. You hit every 3-4 (the burn every 10 seconds). My PH is probably stronger than your damage sliced flamer.

Add in 4000 doctor: can cure the disease that GDK's like so much. The dizzy that Elders and Krayts seem to have a hard on for. 3 bar bleeds the Elders love to put on you? No sweat. Can cure them on the fly.

For someone that has played this game for nearly as long as I have, you dont know very much about it. Ebay?
