Ok for those who desire to become a commando and go down the road of a commando what do you have to have or be? Do you have to have all 4 Unarmed brawler skills and Master Marksman or do youneed to have Master Brawler and Master Marksman. If someone could carify that and explain it to me and add a list of commando trainer cors to that would be grealty appreciated and very helpful

-Thank You-

You only need the 4 unarmed brawler skills and then master marksman.

Both of which are 100% useless in our tree

Ok just to be extremely specific what does "Master Marksman" entail... Do you neeed to master Rifle Carbine Pistol and Ranged? Or just one of them. I ask because i'm trying to get to Commando and have all the unarmed Ranged and Rifle skill. It allows me to be a Rifleman and TeraKasi but nothing shows up for the Commando which has me puzzled.. I have over 40K in Combat xp so i figure it must have to do with my Apprenticeship points and getting the title "Master" for either of those 2 professions... hopefully someone can explain it for me

you have to complete the whole marksman tree plus have the 620 apprentice points to become a master marksman. here is a link to a character builder......http://www.beafraid.com/swgcb/swg-cb.php

For master marksman, you must complete all of the disciplines in the tree, then gain 620 apprentice points by teaching others these disciplines. Also, the manual states that you must have engineering 4 because commandos are supposed to be able to craft their own weapons. Seems ridiculous to me and it might have been dropped.

Ha. Even the online manual that's on the official site has it wrong. It still says that Engineering Specialistis required. It's supposed to be "The complete and current manual." Hmm.

Let me first say that I am not a dabbler - i wanted Commando since the game began - my question is for all you masters out there. with left over points - which arent many i am guessing. would yall suggest to delve into some pistoleer or smuggler skills to enhance your launcher pistols butt kickin style - or head more towards CH to have a trusty little pet that can have frolicy delight with all the grilled rib bones on your journey.

Ive heard it is very good to get Novice pistoleer for the health shot 2, or even smuggler skills to improve your bread n butter gun - Anyway - what do yall think

P.S. Mastersynn - trying to get ahold of ya nightly to go hunt - havin a hard time though

thanks for everything - and thanks for all the commandos who have stayed strong despite all the nerfs and other BS .

In my mind we have4 profession choices that can enhance our combat performance.

1. Pistol. You obviously know why, so the question is how attached are you to that Launcher Pistol.

2. Pets. Love 'em or hate 'em they are the most efficient way of "soloing."

3. TKA. Coupled with new TC changes, and a stated focus by the Devs to "fix" the brawlers, this could be a very devistating combo in the near future.

4. Medic. Abitlity to heal is never a bad thing (if you've got the points).

That's my 2 cents any way.

Well...not a master yet, but been a Commando for a long time...

First read Ivoni's Commando Guide...GREAT STUFF!!! Answers some of your questions, including what to do with your extra skill points...

For me personally I invested some points into getting novice Pistoleer.../healthshot2 will come in very handy while building up your accuracy with the Flame Thrower (you'll miss tons in the beginning)...Plus, initially the Launcher Pistol is fun to play with...Big Boom Good!

Beyond that, I have 2 set's of advice...one before the November Patch...one Potentially after the November Patch.

Currently, go CH...get yourself a nice pet to use a wall...the 2.5x bonus damage that any melee fighter/creature does to us is a killer...we get incapp'd by Nuna! I've pretty much dropped the acid tree and put it all into CH...

On Test Center are some nice additions to the Master Commando Level...if they transfer to the regular servers with the big November patch, the Melee Issue will be less of a problem...we will have 30+ Melee Defense as a Master Commando...and if you combine that with one of the TKA tree's, you can up that to 60+...more then enough the cancel out the 2.5x issue...so that's when I plan on dropping all my CH skills and becoming a full Commando Master...with the remaining skill points I'm looking into Pistoleer, with probably enough left over to get Feign Death on Smuggler, some Scouting and some Medical (see my other post)....

Hope this helps...and welcome to the Comando Profession...
