Are all the mines in the munitions crafting line able to be made? I am interested in the stats on the anti-vehicular mine. There is a lot of complaining about how hard it is to combat the AT-ST in PvP and I am wondering if this is good enough to do some serious damage to it. Thanks.

They don't work.

There's no certification and there's no way of actually using them.

As far as I understand they can only be loaded into minefield structures that can be bought with faction points.

Too bad you can't place mines in front of AT-ST's

Don't know if this is the best place to ask, but here it goes....

Has anyone used mines yet? Not Faction Minefields but regular landmines. Any info you have would be appreciated. And for the Weaponsmiths who might read this, I'd be interested in a few stacks of mines to play with so please send an ingame mail.

Can someone explain mines to me?

I've not used them, or been hit by them, but I sometimes see them around.

I assume they are always factional? (No "neutral" mines?)

How much do the generally cost? Per what?

How much area do they cover per "bunch"?

Do they go away when they hit someone/thing?

Do they hit Mobs or just Overt players?

Mines go in mine field's and are mostly used only on the outside of bases. They can be bought from factional recruiters or can be made by weaponsmiths. Im not sure on how much they would cost. They also only hit people that have TEF's or are overt and only if you are a enemy of the base. They come in charges of 5 also.

Ah, so they're a faction perk!

That makes a lot of sense.

Are they a deed, then? And do they (I assume they do if this is how it works) take up a lot?

I guess once the "minefield" is down on the ground, I can then put the crafted mines into it.

*must have a play with this, just for a laugh*

Oh and mines can db found that out for my self. When I got some from a wep smith he said they take 1/2 the ammount of resc. of a fgw5 and I belive they can be sliced too.

it acts like any other attack. so, there's a chance the mine will go off.. if it does, there's a chance you will be hit, and a chance your bike/vehicle will be hit.

note that mines hit coverts as well, and that speed through the field is a factor in whether or not they explode. (it pays to walk)
