Thread: You guys kid yourselves
Comandos shouldnt be getting the "highest AP weapons. That's not even the point of heavy weapons, which are generally used for taking out mass amounts of infantry in close range(flame throwers, grenades)or taking out vehicles(rockets).
The long and the short of it is that both in the game and in real life, high powered rifles have the most armor penetration of any infantry-carried weapons. Cry and pout all you want, that's HOW IT IS.
However, some of you guys are stupidly ignorant and troll-full, I'd like to wipe some of the crap out of your ignorant eyes.
AP3 T21 does damage X-Y. Since it hits big bad AR3 mob, it has no armor reduction; however, the damage is reduced by HUGE amounts because the resists on all the AR3 mobs (70+ resists,) whcih drop the damage down to X x .30 - Y x .30
Acid rifle does acid damage X-Y, and is nearly impossible resist against, so it doesn't have to deal with either AR or resists. Damage is always X - Y
Now, shut up about the T21. it wasn't even "fixed"; it was nerfed thanks to whiny little putzes like you that can't stand to see anyone else getting anything worth a crap.
We are the ONLY god **edit** profession, next to maybe squad leader, that hasn't had a single god **edit** actual "fix" since this game went live.

Zarlok, you do not know what you are talking about.
I was a sniper in the U.S. Army and a Recon Specialist.
The most armor penetrating equipment we had that was man portable at the time was the Dragon AT Missle, not rocket. Rockets are unguided, which, by the way the easily man portable was the LAW at the time I was in. Now many troops carrythe AT4 ( anti-tank 4) which has far superior armor penetrating abilities then the Barret .50 caliber rifle. You use it (the AT4) to take out bunkers, etc. The barrett is used for lightly armored ( i.e. M113's, jeeps, humvees, small recon vehicles), though I wouldn't trust it for thatmyself, primarily you use it for anti-personel (Which might be agains the Geneva convention, since technically .50 cal weapons are supposed to be used against equipment and vehicles, just shoot at their canteens). The missles have heads designed to penetrate armor and bunkers.
Now, if they do givecommandossome heavy machine guns, yeah lower the AP. Of course thereal .50 cal machine gun .. the M2( Ma Deuce, lovely lady)does indeed have armor pierceing rounds. Again .. not as penetrating as the LAW rocket, DRAGON missle, or AT4.

So you go cry and pout all you want little man.Ignorant? Acid rifle is impossible to defend against? Doesn't have resists to worry about?
Mabey in PvP, but if your talking about PvE you've got to be joking, either that or get out of the newbie yards. There are just as many mobs that resist acid and heat my friend.
I don't care who you were. You are a a simpering 12year old for all I know.
You do know the difference between and explosive impact and actual penetration. Can you kill someone with a dragon AT when there is a house with two walls directly between you and the target? No. Because the rocket EXPLODES. It does's have PENETRATION. Learn the differences, you ignorant twit.
Again ZARLOK you show your ignorance.
Yes .. I can kill the person behind the wall, especially with the DRAGON.
A cone of molten metal penetrates and the heat caused pretty much kills whatever is inside.
I'll go find a nice easy to read website describing how a HEAT round penetrates through something.
I'm not even a commando, yet, maybe never, but you are stating things that are just untrue.
Here,
From this service site :
http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/systems/dvic543.htm
SERVICE: Army, Marine Corps
DESCRIPTION: One-man anti-tank missile weapon.
FEATURES:
The Dragon is a medium range, wire-guided (guidance of the missile to target is controlled by a thin wire), line-of-sight anti-tank/assault missile weapon capable of defeating armored vehicles, fortified bunkers, concrete gun emplacements and other hard targets. The system contains a launcher, tracker and missile. The launcher is an expendable, smooth bore, fiberglass tube with tracker and support bipod, battery, sling and front and back shock absorbers. It is designed to be carried and fired by an individual gunner.
BACKGROUND:
The Dragon was developed for the U.S. Army in 1970. It uses a cone-shaped charge for maximum penetration. The wire guidance allows the gunner to hit his target by keeping the cross hairs on the target until detonation. The launcher is expendable. The day and night tracker sights can be reused. The missile is installed in the launcher during final assembly by the manufacturer and is received in a ready-to-fire condition. The launch tube serves as the storage and carrying case for the missile. The Army has 7,000 systems in its inventory with approximately 33,000 Dragon missiles. The Marine Corps has 17,000 Dragon missiles in its inventory.
Note : Anti tank... penetration.. get it .. armor penetration. One man ..
Get it.

Illuysion.
Zorbak or whatever his name was, stated somthing in "real life" that simply is not true.
I hope they keep the T21 at AP 2.. but if you are going to use an argument from real life, at least get it right.
AT 4 Specs
SERVICE: Army, Marine Corps
FEATURES:
The AT-4 anti-tank weapon is a lightweight, expendable, self-contained rocket launcher that fires a single rocket. It consists of an 84mm (3.36 inch) cone-shaped warhead designed to penetrate armor plate. Both the warhead and its rocket motor are housed in an expendable reinforced fiberglass launch tube. It is fired by an individual soldier from the shoulder position. It is designed to allow individual gunners to destroy such targets as enemy tanks and armored vehicles.
BACKGROUND:
The unit cost of this weapon is $1,060. It was developed in Sweden in the 1970s and approved for the U.S. Army in 1985.
