Thread: Fair pricing for Grenades
Hi all, i am trying to stock my vendors with a wide variety of weaponry and have no idea what are fair prices on grenades for all you Commandos. Please post prices you thinkare fairfor ALL the different grenades in the game.
Thank you in advance for any and all replies,
I'm a large munitions dealer on Radiant with some of the fairest grenade prices around. Prices are listed by crate:
C12 - 12k
C22 - 16k
Cryoban - 20k
Glop - 23k
Thermal Detonators - 40k
Imperial Detonators - 45k
Protons - 50k
I don't have a problem selling and have yet to have anyone complain about prices. Then again, that might mean my prices are too low, but I'd rather have happy commandos than a fat bank.
Good prices.
On chilastra I commonly pay by full crate:
C22 7-11K
Proton 25-30k
unfortuanly all the master smithies are whiny bitches and complain untill im blue in the face about how hard it is to make grenades. So finding a vendor with any is very very hard. If any of you guys wanna move to Chilastra I would be eterinally greatfull.
let me qualify that by saying i know grenades are hard to make, but just not making them at all....geeze...lazy
its not 'hard' to make grenades.
its hard to find the resources to make GOOD stat grenades and then its very time consuming to make 3 factory runs to make something that is *gone* in less than 5 minutes...making a wepsmith be literally unable to supply a SINGLE commando with grenades for a week...the disparity on the speed in which the wepsmith can make them to the speed the commando uses them is just too big.
Case in point, my commando is also wepsmith. I cant supply myself with c12's fast enough. And i had my factories chugging them out 24/7 for a week and i still was without grenades 4 out of the 7 days of the week i tried it.
So i went back to my flamethrower cone attack and forgot about grenades.

I guess if resources are a problem, then yeah, you might have trouble keeping stuck, but I crank out about 1000 grenades every 2 days - probably closer to 4-5 days if I'm making larger types (Thermal, Imp and Proton).
I set one factory to run 1000 light warheads, another for 1000 Warhead Fusing mechanisms. As 10-20 crates of each get completed, I start a run of final product. I mostly create C12's since non-commandos can use these also. Then when those 10-20 crates are done, I run what's left over of the now-finished warheads and fusing mechanisms. Then I crank up the 2 factories again.
So Radiant commandos, come by. I am well stocked at all times now.
It was tough staying stocked though at first, I'll give you that...
Frotarr,
Here is a little advice. When you place an order for any grenade, from C22 and up, and the Smith says; "you know I am actually "undercharging" you considering they sell for more on the bazzar", drop him immediately. Sooner or later he will start gouging the prices because all his little smith friends are making more money. I went through numerous smiths like this until I found a very cool one, one that did'nt charge an arm and a leg.
I asked the "exact" ammount he paid for resources and if he could'nt buy them how much maintenance costs where and the time involved in making said product. He shot me a price and I paid 10k above the ammount he gave. I placed an order for 10 crates of C22's and he charged me 25k and I paid 35k to compensate him for resources lost and time spent. Thus I now have a good supplier of grenades. When I am able to use the other nades,(I used the nades to level in TK Precision Striking 4 first), he will cut me a good deal and undercut everyone else who is selling them.

25k for all 10 crates or 25k each crate? I don't see how in the world someone could sell them at that price and make any money, even with your generous 10k bonus...
That weaponsmith lost money if he pays a minimum 3cpu for his resources.
Now if he's harvesting it all himself, hemight makea profit. A slim one, but a profit...
"That weaponsmith lost money if he pays a minimum 3cpu for his resources."
That is where the problem lies. I sell my resources for 1.5 cpu. My low prices allows our shopkeeper to constantly undercut the competition which in turn draws alot of business. If you buy bulk and you pay more than 2 cpu something is wrong. I am on the Radiant server as well and even though I charge so little for my resources I still maintain a bank balance of 1 million credits. I am not the richest person on the server by any stretch of the imagination, but I also don't get enjoyment out of price gouging my fellow gamers.
You could come to Wanderhome PadawanChong .. please
Hehe, have yet to see a grenade dealer... sure, here and there you find a crate, but not a steady supply

I don't neccessarily agree that something is 'wrong' if you pay more than 2cpu in bulk, but if you'd like to make it 'right', I can keep your harvesters constantly busy.
Contact me if you'd like. I will tip you very well to deliver if you are indeed at 2cpu.
