Thread: Armor Idea

When ROTW was released a lot of people (mostly commandos) asked for this and there was a reply saying it was "Being considered." Everything seems to have gone quiet on that front. Admittedly there are more important issues that need fixing, but it would be nice if the clone armour could be refitted once to assault armour.
No offense, but there are according to the timeline probably more remaining suits of Mandalorian Armor around then Jedi. Mandolorian Armor is very tough and probably could be salvaged many years after. However the Devs have given us an EU thing, where the Death Watch still can produce the fabeled Armor. However if you notice it is actually slightly different then the Armor desgin that Boba and Jango had. So really it is not "true Mandalorian Armor. Thus I would not be angered to see lots of elderly players wearing it. I mean look at all the BH trainers with it jeesh...
So.
(Forgive me if I don't know exactly what I'm talking about as I never made it through all of the DWB. I wonder if it's possible now without having a team of Jedi?)
When you get to the Crafting Station at the bottom of the DWB in the mines you may load an entire suit of BH Armor into the Crafting Station. To use the Station you must be a Master Armorsmith. Once you place all the BH Armor Pieces into the Station you will be able to turn into Mandalorian Armor, by processing it. Once done you can select the Color for each piece of Armor. There is a 5 minute time limit but you should be able to this as it simply put in, press the button, color the Armor and wa la!
The Stats of each Piece of Armor is the same regardless of the BH Armor except for one thing. The Condition of each BH Armor Piece will determine the Condition of the Mandalorian Armor. So if you put in a BH Helmet with a Condition of zero you will get a Mandolorian Armor with a Condition of zero. If you put in a BH Helmet with a Condition of 50,000 you will get a Mandalorian Helmet with 250,000. Yes the condition is multiplied by 5. Besides that the Stat of each Piece will be as follow.
8000 Kinetic
6000 All Others
+50 Health
So a full suit of Mandolorian Armor has 8500 Kinetic Protection, 6500 Other Protections, and gives the wearer an extra 500 Health if your wearing every piece, incuding the Gloves, Boots, and Belt.
Now the only Change to the Jetpack is has to be made by a Master Weaponsmith. All the Components need are still required, but there is a new option. If the Master Weaponsmith has a Rocket Launcher they can put it into the Jet Pack. By putting the Rocket Launcher into the Jetpack, the Jetpack can noe fire Rockets. The Rockets will have the same Stats as that of the Rocket Launcher built in, but there is a twist. When the user turns on their Jetpack, so when they are flying, the can fire Rockets at Enemies as well. However you can only fire Rockets while flying. Just so the actual Weapon in-game becomes completly useless. (My reasoning for this is if the RL is gonna be resource expensive make it good for something!)
You should also be able to craft the Jetpack in-time along with a full suit of Mandalorian Armor to make the trip really worthwhile. The Jetpack should also have color options. Also the Jetpack should have 5000 HP so you can fly around for while and so it don't blow in one hit. Every minute of flying takes 100 HP of the Jetpack so watch it.
Also Mandalorian Armor, and the Jetpack, can only be worn by a Master Bounty Hunter or a Master Commando or a Master Squad Leader.
What do you guys think? I mean something along those lines sounds right doesn't it?
Also Players should be able to change Clone Armor to any type so anyone can wear it.
(Fixed Spelling and Changed Stats)

However I really think that each succesful trip to the DWB should yield your group a matching suit of Mandalorian Armor. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

No offense, but there are according to the timeline probably more remaining suits of Mandolorian Armor around then Jedi.(But Mandalorian armor is something of extremely valuble to the Mandalorian Race. Boba Fett murdered Jodo Kast for wearing a suit he did not Earn. Just because jedi is easy to get, shouldnt mean Mandalorian Armor should. Assaid by Volto,Mandalorian armor is one of the highest symbols of respect in the SW world. It should NOT be treated lightly. I am happy with only a few suits being in the entire game)Mandolorian Armor is very tough and probably could be salvaged many years after. However the Devs have given us an EU thing, where the Death Watch still can produce the fabeled Armor. (Umm, yes, Death Watch, in this time period, is one of the biggest Mandalorian things out there. Even if they are the evil mandalorians, they still produce the armor) However if you notice it is actually slightly different then the Armor desgin that Boba and Jango had. So really it is not "true Mandolorian Armor. Thus I would not be angered to see lots of elderly players wearing it. I mean look at all the BH trainers with it jeesh... (Mandalorian armor is crafted many different way, and has evolved in a way, with the race. There are many different styles, but they are all crafted by the Mandalorians, therefore, is Mandalorian Armor.)
So.
(Forgive me if I don't know exactly what I'm talking about as I never made it through all of the DWB. I wonder if it's possible now without having a team of Jedi?) (you need about 2 jedi if you want to craft. 1 if you just want to go down there. But that 1 has to be a master defender, for both situations, and in the craft room situation, the second jedi needs to feed the MDef force power for AI)

Because almost all of this is totally untrue to what I have heard.

No, Mandalorian armor and jetpacks are a symbol of honor and respect in the Mandalorian Race. If you make it this easy, everyone will be able to wear it, and get it, easily. Mandalorians dont want that. Mandalorian Armor is a trial to get. A lifetime of commitment. If you want the armor, you MUST be ready to sweat your own blood and bleed from your eyes to get it. My friend Turel has spent a long time working for the armor, having parts for 3 more pieces of armor, and having the helmet and chestplate himself. He does it because he is a Mandalorian. Mandalorian armor is NOT something to be given out lightly.

And finding that trustworthy crafter, Turel, is another trial to get the armor. All the better the feeling when you finish the suit and head out to wear it.
Yeah, but needing a DE and an Tailor seems silly for armour....it'd be inderstandable if the helm acctually had the targetting sensors and the bracers had integrated weapons, cuz that is something a DE would know how to do. HAving to buy a second account and grind out ur own crafter shouldn't really be part of the experience...I mena how many Master Tailor, Master Docs (or Master AS Master Docs) do u know?
Also keep in mind you cant go by Bobba Fett's suit as 'purely' mando. Since it was HEAVILY modified.
And as for earning the suit of mando. What exactly did Bobba Fett do to earn it? I mean going by the movies at least it seems like he wears his fathers suit. From my impression the reason Bobba killed the other guy running round with the mando. was more cause the guy was impersonating Bobba. But it's been a long time since I read that story.

There is no real "Purely" Mando armor. Mandalorian Armor is Mandalorian armor.
And as for earning the suit of mando. What exactly did Bobba Fett do to earn it? (By finishing his training as a Mandalorian, a much harder training then most. He had to teach himself the ways of the Mandalorian through vids and books from Jango. He worked hard to learn those skills. I think that justifies him to having earned it.) I mean going by the movies at least it seems like he wears his fathers suit. (He has like 3 suits Ibelieve. His fathers suit is the greensuit that is destroyed when he escapes the Sarlacc, killingthe mouth of it. He has 1 suit taken from thenearly-dead Jodo Kast. And he had 1 backup set)From my impression the reason Bobba killed the other guy running round with the mando. was more cause the guy was impersonating Bobba. But it's been a long time since I read that story. (Quote from the comic: "You're no one! Not Dala, Not Shysa, Nobody! You didnt earn this armor! You didnt earn my reputation! You called me a fossil! If you are going to be me, you should have learned from the fossil. You'll never be me". He shows his extreme hatred for him wearing the armor, AND for using his name. It is a mix of both.)

Now some of you go onto to speak of it as Species. While there might of have been race of great warriors, they are dead.
It's really ancient. Anyways the only Mandalorians we should know of are the Great Mandalorian Mercenaries, who used the ancient people titles to make themselves seem more threatening. Well in-truth the Mercenaries became more infamous. They became the best Fighters in the Galaxy. To the point where they were a match for Jedi.
The Mandalorian Mercenaries carried on a tradition of a father-son realtionship. Where the father would teach his son (or possibly daughter too) all the skills he would need.
Jaster Mereel found a small child orphaned. That child was Jango. He took it upon himself to raise Jango as his son.
Jaster evetually became the proper leader of the mercenaries, however the old leader did not want to give up his position and formed a splinter group. The Death Watch. The Death Watch then dedicated themselves to wiping out the current Mandalorians. Sadly Jaster was eventually killed by them and Jango was destined to take his place. However Montross one of the top Mercernaries thought he should have been leader. Montross however in his arrogance was the reason for Jaster's death in their battle aginast the Death Watch. This lead to bitter rivalary between Jango and Montross. Montross was evetually kicked from the Group.
However Jango ran into bad luck. The Jedi set up a trap with a Species against the Mercenaries. While the Battle between both the Mandalorians and Jedi was fierce the Jedi eventually won though only after heavy casualities. Most of the Mandalorians were wiped out. A few escaped, though many ended up prisoners and eventually executed.
Jango escaped and ended up becoming a Bounty Hunter. Eventually he entered a competition which lead him to be the source of the Clone Army. Along the way he killed Montross.
Tyranus the man behind the competition made the deal with Jango, after he killed the crazed Jedi and their cult. Jango wanted an unaltered clone for himself along with the payment, which he intended to be his son.
Thus this is where Boba came from. This is ten years before Episode I. Jango spent his remaining years training Boba, taking on a Bounty now and then.
So really Boba is the only remaining Mandalorian. Cause any survivors would be extremly old. So ya. There no more Mandalorians.

Boba is the only Mandolorian left.
Shysa, Dala, Alpha02, The Mandalorian Protectors.
Now some of you go onto to speak of it as Species. While there might of have been race of great warriors, they are dead.
The race is nearly dead, but Boba Fett has Mandalorian Blood, being a decendant of Cassus Fett. But their race lives on through their training, like the sith.
It's really ancient. Anyways the only Mandolorians we should know of are the Great Mandolorian Mercenaries, who used the ancient people titles to make themselves seem more threatening. (You are saying Cassus Fett was not a Mandalorian, just a merc using the armor to intimidate people? Imbecile...) Well in-truth the Mercenaries became more infamous. They became the best Fighters in the Galaxy. To the point where they were a match for Jedi. (And most of them lived by a strict code of honor, called either the Cannons of Honor, or the Supercommando Codex.)
The Mandolorian Mercenaries carried on a tradition of a father-son realtionship. Where the father would teach his son (or possibly daughter too) all the skills he would need. (WRONG. In Mandalorian Life, each child is born, and raised for 6 months back and fourth between his mother and father. 6 months with mom, 6 with dad.)
Jaster Mereel found a small child orphaned. That child was Jango. He took it upon himself to raise Jango as his son. (Yes, and later Jango repayed that by ruining Montross' plan)
Jaster evetually became the proper leader of the mercenaries, however the old leader did not want to give up his position and formed a splinter group. The Death Watch. The Death Watch then dedicated themselves to wiping out the current Mandolorians. (and deceit, and dishonor. Also, do you even know who this leader was? I do....) Sadly Jaster was eventually killed by them and Jango was destined to take his place. However Montross one of the top Mercernaries thought he should have been leader. Montross however in his arrogance was the reason for Jaster's death in their battle aginast the Death Watch. This lead to bitter rivalary between Jango and Montross. While the Battle between both the Mandolorians and Jedi was fierce the Jedi eventually won though only after heavy casualities. Most of the Mandolorians were wiped out. A few escaped, though many ended up prisoners and eventually executed. (Cassus Fett became a BH.... Dala and Shysa went to Mandalore to help Liberate it from Empire-Supported Slavers))
(But that wasnt enough, Jango died to early. Boba had to teach himself the rest from The Supercommando Codex, and videos of Jango)
So really Boba is the only remaining Mandolorian. Cause any survivors would be extremly old. So ya. There no more Mandolorians.
Once again, Shysa, Dala, Alpha-02 (no matter how screwed up he is). The Entire of the Mandalorian Protectors to be? Learn before you speak.
