Thread: What armor do commandos use?
Rebel faction armor is great. Some might say it is overpowered. The storm trooper armor stinks though so don't wear it if you are an imperial.

Pay no attention to the fact that faction armor is vulnerable to heat ![]()
How is ST armor different from Marine armor (other than looks, in which ST is teh win!!!111!)? Are the resists/encumbrance different? I was under the impression that stat-wise they were just carbon copies.
I myself will be wearing a suit of (preslice) 44% Kinetic Ubese while hunting, until I can acquire full ST which I might wear for fun.
Thanks for the input. I will go ahead and keep my marine armor then. A bunch of people wear composite. Would comp be better than marine? Thanks!

You also didn't mention you need around 30 krayt armor plates to get the electric moved to a full protection.... lol.

Right, and why would any of that be a problem for a Commando? Remember, a Commando with even a whit of intelligence, some skill, quick fingers, and a little teeney bit of luckcan solo Krayts all day long. Then a quick 2-hour trip to Endor for a half-mil of credits, and you're good to buy whatever armor you want.
Yeah, it's rare to get perfect slices (the 55% is base advanced composite, not including Krayt bits - it couldbe impossible on some servers due to resource constraints, but I wouldn't imagine that happening on many if any servers), but the half-mil should easily cover buying 3 or 4 suits of armor (which a day of soloing Krayts will net more than enough segments and scales to make 5 suits, unless your luck is absolutely terrible) which you can get sliced up (and choose the best of each piece).
It's not hard at all, it just takes a little patience to get all the components necessary to get the good armor.
Personally prefer my exotic leotard. Usually the yellow, sometimes the white. Course it doesnt give the right look without my arms in my old old used up chitin.
Someday ill break down and invest in some composite. Not today though.
