Now first off let me say, being a master doctor Im glad there's poison/disease in the game, gives me something to do other than buff for pvp.

The only problem I can see with CM is the fact that they can SPAM poison/disease (well every 5sec at least), but I have to wait 30 sec for a knockdown to work again....am I upset I have to wait, no Im glad they fixed knockdown somewhat.

The fact is if your in a pvp group of 15-20 you need, absolutely need 3-6 doctors with tons and tons of cure poisons just to deal with a group with 1 combat medic.

Or, you could all just target the CM and kill him right off.

Dude, I hate to break it to ya, but CM has no damage mitigation, no defensive bonuses, nothing. If you can't kill one of us in just a few hits you are not ready for PvP.

Learn you enemy well. Since every person in your group instantly knows who poisoned them, you should likely all start to kill that enemy as quickly as possible whenever he/she shows his face.

When I'm fighting a well known opposing CM, I actually make a hotkey to /target (CM's name) and just click it every once in a while to see if he/she is getting close enough to attack. That way you dont all have to tab through every enemy to see if the CM is back in the fight.

You guys are quick to throw out the pat answers.

Target and kill them:
-)In a large fight of 40+ people, targeting someone isn't all that easy. /target doesn't work at long range. It's a little hard to kill the CM that just threw from 80m & ran off.

If you do manage to kill them, they just clone, or get a revive, & are back tossing poisons in a minute or so.

A CM doesn't need buffs to kick ass. Killing them is meaningless. They just clone, type /declare & the poisons & disease fly again, usually from out of weapon range.

Do you guys honestly even believe your own answers? Or do you all play your CM's piss poorly?

The way poison and disease is being currently used in the game is ridiculous. I have been inbase raidswhere i was getting hit with poison or disease every 1-3 seconds for 3-4 minutes. In those situations it is impossible to keep yourself healed, let alone anyone else.

I personally think that that several things need to happen. Poison/disease needs to be put on a seperate timer than heals and the time between throws increased. Once a person has been cured the lingering effects of the medicine should make the healed character immune to further infection for 30s to 1min. AOE poisons/disease should be changed from a DOT to direct damage only.

80m is a thing of the past. Whatever supplies there are left that range 80m are being consumed by the day. Try to learn a little efficiency and kill the class who has the most area wide damage potential first instead of fumbling blindly around a 40+ battle. I don't know about you but as soon as one of my squad members spots a CM he lets us all know in TS (or groupchat) and we all go assist him. It's that easy.. don't blame our answers on your lack of efficiency.

If you do manage to kill them, they just clone, or get a revive, & are back tossing poisons in a minute or so.

See above. Kill him again. If you're defending a base, he's got a long way to go to come back, unless there's a doc to rez him.. in which case kill the doc. If your attacking a base you have a lot of people to worry about recloning, not just the CM.

A CM doesn't need buffs to kick ass. Killing them is meaningless. They just clone, type /declare & the poisons & disease fly again, usually from out of weapon range.

I think you're just upset that you are piss poor at killing CMs. I used to have a problem with them. I put my docs through a few quick training excersices. (Poisonmy whole groupand try to get your 2 or 3 docs to run around curing them before anyone ticks) I even assigned each soldier to a particular doc that watches them for poison/disease. The soldier knows who to run to and the doc knows who to heal. Now none of my guys have a problem with them. It's a tactic just like everything else and just because either a.) You fight with the same group every time and yall suck at taking out CMs or b.) you just get in pickup PvP, doesn't mean you have to come here and blame our "pat answers" on your inefficiencies. Get out there and practice a little more and find something new to whine about.

With Rifleman ranged mitigation and defense, and melee block, CM are invincible. A Combat medic contains the capacity to kill anyone, and heal themself, through ONE class. Name ONE class that can heal themself and dmg another, at a dps 6 times higher than most combat professions. IF I take Swordsman/Rifleman, like I have, I still cannot disease 20 people at perfect accuracy from 20 m, and have one buffed buddy kill them all off with you. You say bring doctors? THE ENTIRE combat system is based on SINGLE Player versus SINGLE player, it is the entire point of the balancing of either the defenses or the DPS of similar professions, to make them all fair. If CM get to keep this overpowered skill(reduce it by 75% for starters), then I want a prenerf T-21, a spraystick that does acid dmg, an e11 rifle that does heat, and a master headshot that does 2000 dmg at 1.0 spd, without pvp reduction. Thank you drive through. Dont complain about my T21 Then, for cant you get Combat medics to heal your mind, I mean, Come on! noob. LMAO. Get a dictionary and read the definition of fair. I cannot think of a single sport or game where one side is given greater advantages than the other, except perhaps a queen handicap in chess, when an obviously better player gives away his queen when facing an inferior player to make things interesting for himself.

600 a tick poison over 4 seconds - 125dps. That's way LESS then most combat profession.

Read what devs said - not gonna happen. We should get 75% boost of PvE damage though.

So go SHOP and buy one. 2000dmg reduced 75% for PvP is 400 dmg BTW, 3 times MORE then CM.

> for cant you get Combat medics to heal your mind

No we can not.

So ehh... you are inferrior player and want OTHER people nerfed to give you handicap ?
I don't think there is nerf big enough in SWG to help you, I suggest going back to chess.

This right here is the ignorance of the masses. I truly hope the devs are aware of how stupid most of the nerf whiners are, and take their crying with a grain of salt.
