Thread: Its been my experience the ones that are screaming nerf are....

People who think they should be able to run out and pvp without buffs, or food, or any preperation save for visiting thier recruiter to declare. As master CM even using spider venom poisons, i can raise hell in anchorhead or other places populated primarily by noobies. Then i take a stroll down the a rival player city that is normally well defended, again few un prepared noobies catch my aerial herpes, and perish. But, within 5 seconds of a veteran seeing what im doing, im takin a dirtnap. Im sick and tired of the TkA and other classes screaming for nerf so they can go back to having an infinite mind pool with milk, muon, and brandy, and canape, and dancer / music buffs. Adapt or die! We all know tka can dissy kd and kill in 2 seconds flat, thats why i adapted and now never leave home without +90 thaktillo in my hot bar. I also keep synth steak with me if i know im going to have to live through a few rifleblasts, or an acklay fencer is going to stomp me. If you people nerf the dmg in pvp by 75% the entire class is ruined. We cant heal states, cant cure anything, cant rez, cant buff, heal mind will drop you really fast even buffed, and gives you crapload of BF, for non CM its like sampling radioactive.... You get rid of the Dmg we can do with poisons only makeable and useable at master, with quality resoures and spider venoms that make them cost like 25k a charge, and youll have completely ruined the entire class. Grats, /cry some more. In UO this kind of nerf crying would be laughed at. I dont know why sony lets you pukes, get away with it, let alone cave in on them. All the cry babies need to go over to eq 2 when it goes live so we can stop the nerf talk. If the left the game alone for say 2-3 months youd have time to build atemplate up and learn to defend against it. Instead of having to grind the flava of the month all the damn time.






Since i never post without an alternative on bash threads ... Allow overts to wear limited use, gas masks purchased by the faction recruiter. which will do a90 % dmg reduction to poisons not disease, and be quite expensive FP wise to purchase.... Allow the mask to last 30 minutes or 5 times taking it on and off, and require them to take ham. You shouldnt be able to wear a helmet with this apparatus on. But id go with it either way.

Then they'll cry about Riflemen and their Headshot 3 that's doing 500 damage per hit.

I want to say for the record that I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THIS CLASS NERFED.


Okay, that said....


I would like to see Doctors given something to help us withstand CM's better. I can't get but to maybe two people in a battle, before I am toast. I am using Synthsteak, and brandy, and even with Muon, I can't get past the diseases or poisons. As docs are the only ones able to cure diseases and poisons, it makes it REALLY hard on us. We need some kind of blue pill or potion that we can take to help us reduce the damage of the mind poisons especially. That is one of the biggest reasons that I think alot of people think CM's are untouchable. Cause when you have a couple of Master Doctors in the group, like me, and we are always targeted FIRST, and we go down, what chance does everyone else really have? Answer.....little to none, depending on how strong the rest of the group you are fighting is.


Since that CM range is SO LONG....if doctors had something to help delay the effects, or reduce them, I think alot of the complaining about CM's would go away.



Good luck with your poisons....I shall take my buffing and rezing and go sit quietly over here.....

Let's say if one of the two people that you're trying to cure picks up doctor as well, that's one less person you need to cure and one extra person he can cure or shoot if he doesn't want to cure.


Make them pick up doctor 4/0/4/0 at the least and they'll be a lot happier.

why isnt the person at 36m that the combat medic hit with the aoe poison shooting the cm to protect his buddies?


masters dont have but 36-40 meters on their aoe poisons because if they have more than that they are sacrificing effectivessnes and noone is dumb enough to do that


40m plus 25 aoe = 65m anything over that is pointless because it wont do any damage

My AOE poisons have 37m+ range, plus 25m AOE, with potency 113, and effectiveness of 302 (no venom, just advanced components). So, at master, I throw my AOE poisons 74m, plus the AOE, with a tick of over 600. You do not have to have short range to have a good poison, even AOE.

i pvp with full buffs, doctor/dancer/musician as well as food, brandy/canapes/aircake and i still say nerf cms


food and buffs dont help one someone is making your mind tick for 500 disease and 1000 poison


they should NEVER have added fire spider venom, the **edit** where they thinking? now cm is worse then it was befor, befor it was tolerable cause peoples disease and poison was like 200 disease/400 area poison/600single poison, no its like 500-700 disease 1000 area poison 1000 single poison


cms have completely ruined any fun i have had in pvp, they need nerf bad so that more people will pvp, i'd rather duel a def stacker then a cm, atleast vs the def stacker i wouldnt get 3x disease incap griefed and end up with max mind wounds and 500 bf

I keep wondering what would happen if armor and defensive food buffs were given reduced effectiveness in PvP. Right now, you can put on a top of the line composite armour, imperial PSG, doctor and chef buffs (synthsteak, brandy, etc.), and be more or less invincible against everything except poison and stun damage.


Is CM really too powerful? Or are CMs and riflemen (and acklay baton fencers) perceived as too powerful because they are the only ones who can actually do damage in PvP?


My TKA friend duelled another TKA, both were buffed and wearing 80% kinetic composite. They had to cancel the duel after five minutes, since neither of them could actually do damage on the other. A reduced effectiveness on armour, say 50%, would give make the other classes competitive in PvP, imho.

You see if people dont like the CM's poison/disease why not go doctor. or at least get doc 4-x-4-x. This way you can cure poison and diseases. If you dont that's your own stupid fault.

Can you say MISPLACED AGENCY?

Combat Medic Has NO to hit roll...Can easily out Damage any class in PVP...And at The Master level there islittle defense to any posion, the posion resistance food is pathetic, and your explanation is that if you are not a DOC you are stupid. Posions are an "I WIN BUTTON".

There is too much advantage to COMBAT MEDIC, there is not enough defend against for the power it does indeed have.

What do you suppose our potency and your resistance to poison does? Dance marengo?
We have a "to hit roll" just as much as your TKM and your MBH... just that we have to fix it at home before the crafting station.
That being said, resitances do need to be looked over by the devs as soon as they are done with the combat re-vamp.

defence stackers ruin the game also,pvp on a whole needs to be slowed down a hell of a lot,fights don't last long enough( with or without combat medics) for my liking.

CM is not the issue, non healable mind is.


May be SOE dont talk about CM, because there are changing mind, soon, to be easily healable.
