Thread: Is this CM bug / exploit allready known?
Is this already known? Since the one side gains a great advantage and the other a great disadvantage, in my understanding, this is an exploit.

No, this is a full exploit as far as I am concerned.
We all understand that the current mechanics allow me to poison someone outside of the base (or at the entrance) to affect people inside the base. And if an enemy is dumb enough to be in my LOS, then they get what they deserve, including poisoning other people inside the base.
But what this is about is creating an artificial enemy target where a valid regular enemy target does not exist. Let's say I don't have LOS to any enemy opponent. So what? I just get my neutral or covert friend, who can't be touched by any of my opponents, to duel me. The area affect from my duelaffects my regular PvP opponents. Ideally, there should be some way to separate a duel opponent from everything else. Realistic? No. But it would be better for the game. And this isn't restricted to just LOS issues. I could effectively do the same thing to artificially increase my range.

It is known, the only way to fix this particular bug/exploit would be to make it so that, when dueling, you can only poison those whom you are dueling. That would fix that end of the bug.
but then how would you kill jedi afk macroing on rooftops

I was notorious for using this on base raids or flushing melee enemies out of hiding in buildings. I don't use this anymore since it is truly an exploit. It's much more fair to incap someone at the mouth of a base or use a corpse for a target. Even agroing a low HP mob next to the wall of a base and using it for a target is fair imho. They give the CM a valid target if the enemy doesn't have the forethought to drag their friends out of the CMs LOS. I take care to make sure my friends clear out any possible fauna near the base we defend so they can't be used in this manner. I have a set of "frogger" poisons I use just for those circumstances since they have a base 40 Area.
