The only reason your crying nerf CM is because your a gimp defense stacker. If you actually had doctor and 1 combat class then you wouldnt care and im glad CM's pissall of you off because i think i might grind CM again to take out defense stackers.

Ok who wizzed in your cornflakes this morning. You don't think CM is a little over powered in pvp? How come the poisons do not suffer in pvp the 75% reduction that everone else has to go through?

CM's don’t hit 75% PvP reduction
1. Because our only weapon does Dot,
2. with the +1 incap we can't kill you with it.
3. you can now get food buff's that give resist to Poison and diseases.

By stacking poison and disease, you can easily incap with it. I have a Master Doc/Master CM. With those and Novice Artisan for surveying, I only have enough skill points for pistols 1, yet I can solo a fully buffed Master Bounty Hunter and Master TK in PvP by myself at the same time. I'm a medical support person, I should not, under any logic be able to do this.

I dont know about other CM's but my disease's only tick for 140 every 40 or so seconds.. and most medium sized pvp battles dont last long enough to complete a whole HAM bar. Or you will probably die since the poison has got you down to 1 point anyways (before the disease gets ya), and you will will clone with no disease/poison..

Why don't you try to solo a Master Rifleman/Master Doctor by yourself? It's a moot point. There is a counter for ever profession. CM is a counter for the defense stackers. Would you like to see 200 defense stackers running around with 170+ ranged and melee defense while trotting around with 450 damage Jawa Ion rifle?

I think not.

5 stars for you. Defense stackers need to be stopped.

I think this is the crux of the issue. I was in Theed a while ago fighting in a good 7 on 7 battle. The other side's CM got there and all of the sudden all 7 of us have a mind poison doing 500 mind damage per tick. I'm a master doctor, but by the time I had myself cured, the rest of the team was at 1 mind point. Game over 30 seconds after the CM got there. No more battle.

You're wrong TsunamiKata, there isn't a counter for monster CM area poisons. I will admit I haven't seen the new Chef stuff that deals with poison resists, but I hope it's good, because those poisons are a fun killer.

Why do we keep having people bring up the same argument over and over and over again without ever realizing that all the weight behind their complaints are flawed.

"We had a 7 on 7 fight going on that one CM was able to end in 30 seconds"

Good for the other side! They got smart. You didn't. In every one of these nerf threads, people state that the CM profession is a support class. Fine, call it whatever you like. The other team in this instace brought in their support. You take that same CM by himself or with one or two other people, and he is next to worthless. Sure, he'll probably get off his poisons, and maybe even disease behind that. But before they are able to tick enough (if you or any of you team members are half way decent at PvP) you should have been able to incap the CM.

CM have next to 0 defence. That is the balance for them being able to do massive damage. In almost all MMOG of this nature classes balance out this way. Inflict high damage/take high damage, inflict lower damage/take lower damage. This is the meaning of balance.

Now back to your story... since you may have got some clue about PvP, the CM should be on the ground. Now if you remembered to bring a doc, or as probably 90% of your group is TK, you can remove the poison and disease and be all set to go again before the CM recovers or returns from the cloning center. Just because you were too focused on being able to attack non-stop, don't blame this profession. CMs are NOT the end of all battles. Read through any of the other 1000s of threads on these issues where the math has actually been done. You will see, as has been proven countless times, that CMs do less damage per second than nearly EVERY combat profession. What combat medics do accomplish is swinging the tide of battle in favor of their side. Instead of you defence stacked melee cluster f()ck, your side now has to withdraw for a second to take care of itself.

Well, I could go on for hours on end proving the flaw to every one of these arguments, but I'm just too tired. I think the Devs have actually done a great job in making CMs probably _the most_ balanced class in the game. So in closing, I'll summarize...

1) CM offence - High damage dealt
2) CM defence - Non-existant (high damage received)
3) Working solo... easily removed
4) Working in group... helps sway battle in their favor
5) High skill points used in Mastering don't allow for uber teplate support.
6) Constantly needing to work on gathering rescources and crafting to make weapons instead of buying 1 krayt, rancor tooth, rare component enhanced weapon and being able to fight for 2 months with no worry.

You cry CM nerf... I'll prove you wrong. EVERY time.

Then, when that happens, cure yourself, drink a blue milk, cure everyone else, they drink a blue milk, and the fighting continues. It doesn't take much to kill the combat medic, he should be the first target, I use all my remaining HAM to target him and take him out whenever I'm up against a combat medic.

There's food that makes you virtually immune to poison now. CM _was_ nerfed this thursday. Shut up.

The Kitten's Diary, Day 781: I have discovered a most delightful way of making life miserable for my captors. Yesterday, I ate the woman's precious begonia, and today I have dismembered the amaryllis in the bedroom window. She is furious over the loss of her darling house plants! I find it highly gratifying.

Our damage can be cured FASTER than it can cause harm. Damage from a rifleman, TKA, commando, etc can often one or two-hit kill someone.

Our damage requires us to craft. And with rare and hard to find resources. All a combat class has to do is by the weapon.

Our damage can be meditated away by TKA's. Let's see me meditate away the sniper shot I just took to the head.

We use MORE skill points than everyone except BH.

We get NO defensive modifiers, ranged or melee.

Maybe the problem is all the uber-l33t PvP folks never bring doctors.

Each and every class in this game has a way to counter it. Just be prepared when you go to fight.

Oh, and another thing I would like to add is that in big PvP battles people rarely survive long enough for the disease/poison to have full effect.
