Thread: *READ HERE If '/heal' isn't working for you*

Reports on the medic and doc boards about /heal no longer working, so I figured I'd just post here so you all know what's what.(even though none of you have had this problem, which says a lot )

If you have recently become Force Sensitive(meaning you have at least onenovice box in any FS skill)and youuse '/heal'or '/heal self' to heal your damage via stim, either typed out or in a macro, and it doesn't work then here's why:

'/heal', for us, is short for '/healdamage'.

Once you became FS the Jedi abilities are now open to you, you simply need train the correct skill. One of those abilities is '/heal action self 1'.

By simply using '/heal' once you become FS, the system is checking your skills against the Jedi ability of '/heal action self 1' which you do not have. This is why you get the 'insufficient...' message.

To fix this issue, simply change your macro(or starttyping this instead of /heal)to '/healdamage' or simply '/heald' and all will be well.

Easy, no?

I don't use macros or type out /heal, I use the button available in the ctrl+a window and I have had problems healing myself. This started happening after publish 9, it was also happening to some Jedi friends of mineat that time however it stopped about 2 weeks before publish 10. Just the other night after the Havla fix I once again had11 heals in my queue and it simply would do nothing as I ran from the elder and company trying to get away. Has this happened to anybody else recently or is this a known issue?

That's actually something related to the Combat Bug several combat folks have stated is happening to them as well. Their actions/specials are put into the queue but the queue never moves.

here is my question... i figured out the /heald thing but my alt only has novice medic, and since this change happened my heals wont stack in combat queue like they used to. its annoying and makes the vette a lot harder. if anyone has a fix that would be fantastic. i do you a heal macro its:
/peace;
/healdamage self;
/attack;
Thnx

A bug was fixed that had caused all medics to have essentially no timer for healing damage. That means no more spamming heals with only novice medic. I suspect that is the difference you have noticed.

That works too, but many folks, myself included, have pretty complex healing macros.

It's what I've always done. But some folks, for some reason, like to macro things *shrug*

Heh I got killed once not realizing I ran out of charges on the stim on toolbar and in the time I opened my inventory to get another one to drag up there I got owned

Also, having things like /firstaid and /healstate are nice to have in macro too
