So I am sitting in the bestine cantina, bored as heck, i see a red dot (not a spice fiend) running down the hill where the fort is, I tab through to see XXXXXX (Master Combat Medic)

I run outside thinking haha this will be fun (I am a master doctor/master rifleman), He is a master doc master cm

I soon realize i am in deep **edit**, Firing my gun was useless, it just got me killed, and btw I had musician, dancer buffs, and vasarian brandy. I hit ctrl+1 instantly and started spamming my /curePoison /cureDisease hotkey, It was to no avail, some of the poisins ticked as they landed, and before i knew it, he was throwing them faster then i could cure, I was utterly useless, i ended up getting 3 incapped from disease and had item decay.....

So it seems master doc is not sufficient enough to take a CM on, I guess we need to get master doc and something else now to counter one profession

What are the effectivess ratings of your cure poisons and cure diseases? In my experiments with a master doctor, I have literally stacked three of my best poisons (a health, action and a mind C's), and had them all cured with a single applicationofcure poison. I have also stacked three of my strongest diseases (again, health, action, and mind C's) and had them all cured with a single application of cure disease.

Another problem is your macro is set at "/curePoison; /cureDisease". what might have happened is that he poisoned you and diseased you, and then kept poisoning you. Then, you kept curing poison and "never got around to" curing the disease. You might want to vary it up a little (cure poison first for the first 20 seconds, then toss in occasional cure disease first in, just in case).

By the way, be careful with the tone of your posts. Some of your lines are very inflammatory.Lines such as "So it seems master doc is not sufficient enough to take a CM on, I guess we need to get master doc and something else now to counter one profession" (basically concluding that combat medics are too strong and need a nerf), or "Firing my gun was useless, it just got me killed" (which none of us really believe, as if you can fire your gun, you will be causing a fair amount of damage to the no-defense/no-mitigation combat medic). I don't think it was meant to be a troll thread, but it is possible to be read that way...

Some of the premises presented in this post seem suspicious, or at least faulty, to me.

Most importantly "some of the poisins ticked as they landed" as we all know, poisons do not tick untill the first 10 seconds have passed. This never changes. There is no way to experiment upon a poison to modify the tick time or the way the tick works.
This could be due to lag though.

Then I find it highly unlikely that you as a master Doc could fail curing poisons unless you were using severly sub-standard cures. were they experimented for charges?

It would seem that the topic needs a bit more research and/or testing though.

Heh. If you can not beat 1 cm/doc, go get better equiptment. As Master Rifle/Master Doc(dropped rifle for hologrind, and quit pvp a few days ago), I could take on cm/rifle anddd a doc/cm. Go get some decent cure c's and a krayt Jawa. If I had a musician and dancer buff I am sure I could have taken on armies. I use buffs, 2 brandys and1 canape to talk them. CM/Rifle spends too much of their time trying to use cm.

FYI, spamming is against the rules. It could result in a warning to your account.

Unless they make a profession called "Combat Doctor", I don't really see the point in dueling with a CM. Sure, Docs have more skill points to add combat professions (then again, a CM can be any master ranged profession) but if you're looking to attack a CM, better focus on your combat professions, and not your doctor abilities.

How to defeat a doctor as a CM.

1. Apply mind poison.

2. Pray he doesn't heal that in 2 seconds.

3. Apply health poison

4. Apply action poison

Repeat steps 3 & 4.

I haven't seen anyone other than a jedi guardian not succumb to that. Assuming they miss to cure that first poison.

I have to wait 4 seconds to toss a second poison is this because I suck?

KnightHawk420, I keep hearing (from you and other people) of this idea "if you have a health poison, then mind poison is uncurable". From what I can tell, it feels like everybody is quoting everybody else about this "fact" of having an uncurable mind poison.. However, in my experiments this was not the case. There is no way for one poison to prevent another from being cured (as mentioned in my original reply).

Granted I only ran two experiments abouttwo months ago, but I found that a doctor using effectiveness experimented poison cures could cure all the poisons afflicting a person with one application. Can you (or somebody else) confirm that within the past month or two that:

A master doctor using well made poison cure pack (read: not using grind quality resources, and experimenting effectiveness) applying a curePoison to a person with a health, action, and mind poison will only cure the health poison, or the health and mind one? (In other words, a combat medic in theory can prevent a mind poison from being cured by stacking a health and/or action poison.)

Due to the chaos of battle, it is easy to get mis-impressions (eg. a combat medic reapplies a mind poison without you noticing, or you curing a disease instead of a poison), so it would be better if the experiment was run outside of live combat. It is entirely possible I am mistaken, and would appreciate it is somebody could confirm this for me. Thanks.

I am Master CM, my husband is Master Doc. He easily cured all posions I stacked on him with a single application of a cure posion. This was about 4 days ago, so it still works.

I'm not sure of the stats on his cures, butit would have been high quality.
