Thread: properties used for CM components changing

Our debugger in chief just informed me that he just finished reworking the attribute ratings for CM components. Decay resistance and Overall quality will be used in the future to calculate the quality/power of our components. The two will vary for different experimentation attributes but our components should turn out waybetter with conductivity and PE out of the caculation At this time I dont have a ETA for the fix getting to us.

the reply for the other issues on the first top 5 will be posted as soon as a few more things are worked out.

That's great news. I wonder if you'll be allowed to post the rest of the top 5 when you hear it.

Also effectiveness is still only 90 at master. They fixed this for everyone else but us(long while back too). Wish they'd get around to it.

That really depends on what material you're using. Any Gas will have very bad decay resistance, I've yet to see any gas above 500 in DR.

Kave,

I'm sure it's a minor that 99% would happen anyway, but it would be nice if we have say a week's notice (ie: reported as being on test center) so anyone who has stockpiles of resources on galaxies where DR blows, can convert their resoruces into subs and final product rather than just watching their stockpiles's vaue take a /lowblow overnight.

yeah....when It hits TC I will let you know. If things work like they have in the past it will be 2-3 weeks from the time it hits TC to the time it goes live, but there has been the occaisional exception to the rule. The same goes for the AoE disease and ARC, when I see it hit TC i will sound the horns

TsunamiKata,

There is no conductivity level on ANY gas though. That's why all CM's stuff will get better. Generally, low decay resistance is found, but anything is better then nothing. You got to remember that =)

Well unless it works different then Medical supplies a resource that doesnt have said stat like PE would then be averaged as N/A not averaged as 0. Although I have yet to try this on Poisons.

I'm with you on that, I'm quite upset about this. Whatever happened to :"
  • Change the experimental effectiveness of CM componentsso they are notbased on Conductivity / potential energy when the resources used do not have these properties " (quoted from our top 5 list thread)

  • To me, what that meant, and what it should mean, is that they ONLY change the requirements on the the actual types of resources effected by this issue. Why change all of them? Aren't we hurting enough financially in this profession? Now all the money and time I spent harvesting those resources are going to be waste if I don't craft them in time? Great!

This one can't be hard to implement, just don't change the line of coding on the resource requirements where the resources used does actually have PE.
