Thread: ADV Bacta toss vs Bacta shot
It is out.
I heal w/ bacta shot for about 1100 (after pub 21), my advanced bacta toss stayed the same. Before publish 21 bacta shot healed more, so I pressume even after reducing it by 300 pts it would still be on par/above adv. bacta toss.
I think they were saying the advanced bacta toss will heal more than the improved bacta toss, etc. For doctors, the advanced bacta shot was healing for 1500, and our medic bacta shot was healing for almost that much. I think that is where they found the "issue."

I am MCM with +25 healing eff in tapes
bacta shot = 1224
A. bacta toss = 1174
A. bacta spray = 928

I'll try to sound surprised.
What this publish was *supposed* to do was leave the Advanced values of Shot, Toss, Spray, and Jab alone, and cap the values of Improved and Standard respectively. That a Standard Bacta Shot is now healing for more than your Advanced Toss is completely retarded and doesn't appear to have addressed the problem at all. I don't see how this got off T.C.
Imo the actual tapes and healing efficiency is to great a variable. They need to put more of the healing power in the skill its self not in the mods. Stims anyone lvl 60 can use at best should never heal for more than 1k with no healing skills and only + 25 in clothing. They should be an aid not a form of survival.

same stats MCM + 25 healing in tapes
However I did toss and spray with enhancers this time
A. bact toss with 1235 enhancer healed for 1735 .. ![]()
A. bacta spray with 1137 enhancer healed for 1373
So I guess with enhancers our heals can really shine. Perhaps this will make Bio-engineers happy too.

The Bug (introduced in Pub 19): All versions of Bacta Shot heal the same amount of damage as the Advanced version for a given Healing Efiiciency level. The same is true for Bacta Toss, Bacta Spray and Bacta Jab. For example, a Master Doc with a total HE of 105 will average around 1525 points of healing using Advanced Bacta Shot. A Doc 4xxx with the same HE of 105 will also heal for 1525 points using Improved Bacta Shot. A MCM with the same 105 HE heals for 1525 with the standard Bacta Shot.
Expected Behavior: Advanced Bacta Shot should heal for more damage than Improved Bacta Shot at the same Healing Efficiency. Likewise, Improved Bact Shot should heal for more than the standard Bacta Shot. The values for the Advanced versions of the heals are correct. The Improved and standard version are incorrectly using the same values as Advanced. The same is true for Bacta Toss, Bacta Spray and Bacta Jab.
The fix (in Publish 21): Improved and standard Bacta heals now use different function values than the Advanced version. The values for the Advanced versions have not changed. The net effect is that heal amounts for the Improved and standard versions of the heals have been reduced compared to the Publish 19 values for players with a Healing Efficiency greater than 5.

Wow as it goes now a stim D can heal about the same as a MCM with +25 healing in tapes.... someone define balance for me?
If your going to nerf healing for MCM fine, however to balance you need to improve or Medical warfare to keep us balanced.
Numbers look right to me. The 5m range heal does more than the ranged heal which does more than the area heal. It does seem that the 5m range heal does less now, like it should, even if less isn't below the ranged heal. If you want to heal for a lot, you need to go doc. If you want to heal at range or do area heals (plus all the dots) you need to go CM. That is the balance between the two profession.
