I dont PvP much so I dont have much to say about the +1 change.

Using themind heal is nice but it really gives ME a headache.

The gripe/question I have is how do I make any money for my services?

I use adv components for EVERY item i make. EVERY ONE.

I group and heal people every chance I get. If im doing really high pay outmissions in a group the payout for me is usually 4-8k but i use a ton of nice area effect heals and poisons on these missions.

Docs have rez and enhancements thatthey can make a nice bit off of. Entertainers get tips a hell of a lot more than i got tips in Cantina. ( i dont even go there anymore) And the other crafters I know for the most part are pretty well off. AndI wont even talk about CHs.

So do i Beg or Bite the Bullet?

I wont quit being master CM regardless, I enjoy it but I wouldnt mind making a lill bling bling along the way either.

You know I went in debt as a MCM, not much demand for crates, just every now and then someone who wants 2 C poison packs or so. I was losing most of it on harvestors :/. Bah went MD also and now I'm doing well selling buffs but as I always say. I personally think CM is hardest profession to make creds, well besides chef.

If you can't get any cash, try this one.

1. put on your combat medic title.

2. /mood drunk

3. /cry

4. "why, why am I so poor? I'm in here all day and doing missions healing people and noone ever pays me for SAVING THERE LIVES!!"

Pathetic, isn't it? Worked once, but here's what I realy use---

ask your group for a little cash, dont wine about it. If anyone gives you anything, anounce that they will be bumped to the top of your priority list for life saving. Hell, im poor, but I love being a combat medic. I like hearing that the party headed out to the tusken fort is in dire need of a healer. It makes me feel useful, at least more than when I was a squad leader. just my rambling thouhts....

there are two kinds of people in SWG: those who play the game and are happy, and those who read the forum and are not.

We have to be 4440 Doc at least or we don't make it as an MCM. How about adding cure disease and cure poison to the abilities available to the CM? After all, if we are the MASTERS of disease and poison, ought we not to know about how to cure it?

The same goes for buffs. Let the Docs have thier stat buffs. Ought we not to be able to buff State resistance? Poison and Disease resistance?

There's your market right there.

Since your a MCM you are, you already know how the resource game works at least a bit. You need to use that information to your advantage and make your cash harvesting resources. The most bare bones harvesting set up is to go get a fusion and 9 heavily experimented medium mineral harvs and drop them on any ore spot at all. Once you collect up 100k of ore, offer it to your architect of choice at 2.5 cpu. Its as close as guaranteed cash as you can find in this game. Once you have the initial setup it's easy to maintain.

You can stop there or expandthe fleetto harvest more profitable named resources for the various crafters (stuff similar to our yavin fiberplast). I currently have over 4 million sunk into my harv fleet and it takes quite a bit of work but only because I don't go for the easy ore money. Actually its become my end game. Ive found the business aspect enjoyable and best of all, it takes no skill points.

Mace, I really like your idea about a buff/resistance to poison available to MCMs. Great idea.

Voss, ya i do know the resource game but Im not going for miner, ive also dropped all artisan skills cept for novice. Just enuff to place a few harvesters. Im going for Master pistoleer so ive dropped everything but MCM of course and novice artisan. And then there is the lot issue, one large house a couple chem factories and sooner than later a Hospital for my player city.

I guess its what i chose so ill have to accept it!

Well most of the time when I do missions people never think twice to help us out since we have to pay creds to do missions. Once recently I was doing a mission with a bunch of people and we went through hell with crossover reds and spawn drops. When we decided to head back to the outpost one of the guys was like i think we should tip the medic cause he used a buttload of stims on us. Two of the guys tipped me like 7k I was so astonished i almodt didnt know how to take it. I was using area c's and reviving everyone so i guess it payed off for everyone.

CM's should be able to buff combat abilities, like a temporary +10 to melee defense or +20 to general ranged aiming. Stuff like that. Docs make boatloads of money off buffs, so why not give CM's a similar opportunity?

Well, I agree the market for CM stuff is much lower than that of a doc, however being master of both I make the most money off of selling AE stims out of email. Ranged Ds also sell good as well.

Grylum, that's actually a really cool idea. Maybe we can expnad on that a bit and forward something on to the devs.

I am both a CM and Doc. I have a problem getting money. Without a Vendor it is very hard to get customers. But in a group I never short on recieving fun. I mention at the begining of leaving and usually have 4 or 5 people who tip a good 10k+. Don't need to beg, just mention it. Granted I get more money for the Buffs. But it was alot harder for me to keep people healed before I made master CM. Just gotta let your group know. If they don't tip ya, leave. Plenty of "Rich" groups out there that are willing to pay good for your services.
