I was a TKM for awhile myself. It was very very very rare that meditation every saved my bacon against a CM. What you guys/gals don't seem to know or acknowledge is that you can't meditate while in combat. What does this mean???
It means that you can't simply /peace or stop engaging enemies and meditate in the middle of a battlefield. Smart enemies know that by simply targeting and attacking you even while out of range while you are trying to meditate will bring up a combat window and "pop" you out of meditation. Yep... all an enemy has to do to prevent you from meditating away poison/disease is to look at you from 120 meters away and "think" about attacking you.
A very well trained combat team will scan an enemies' forces looking for people meditation and use this "trick" to make sure that meditate never works.
Couple this with the fact that even at Master level meditate is incredibly to slow to stop a poison/disease combo from constantly incapping one to death even if they have run out of the combat zone. The only way out of a hard ticking poison/disease combo is to eat canape, drink brandy, and pop a muon. While your mind constantly regens from the base of 0 mind up to 100-200 before the next tick at an incredibly fast pace (I see my mind regenning like crazy), you have to pray that the fast regen rate somehow interferes with the disease tick. Sometimes an insanely high regen rate will actually prevent incap... sometimes not... Meditate won't necessarily save your bacon in a poison/disease combo, and from memory I'd say that I survive less than half of the times that I'm poisoned/diseased trying to meditate it off.
Meditate is a poor poor mechanism to get rid of poison/disease in PvP. Now if you are a CM and duel a TKM.. you will poison/disease him then most likely get slawed by KD/dizzy. He db's you or /endduel's and begins to harmlessly meditate your poisons/diseases away.... Only in dueling will meditate save your bacon... it is INCREDIBLY hard to effectively find time and space in a PvP battle to use meditate. I've been there. I've done that. I've been a TKM. I got the experience to back it up.
Being or having a doctor is the only "effective" counter based on my personal experience with meditate. For anyone who has been there, meditating in the middle of a battle is much much easier said then done.
In the friendly spirit of not hijacking your thread Sir Saborcoco, I'd say the funniest quote from poisoned/diseased victims comes straight from my mouth while I'm triple incapping (especially when triple incapping meant that you got decay even in a PvP death), "Please kill me...." I don't mind so much now triple incapping because that bug was fixed where you didn't get the PvP waiver on decay.... good thing that was fixed

Funniest tell...hrm. I was farming some FP at a base once, when an Overt Rebel came at me. I managed to land a poison on him(pre +1 change) before he killed me. Sent him a /tell afterwards saying 'sorry I didn't get a chance to kill you... enjoy the incaps.'
He wasn't too happy about that...
