actually now I got a new one, seems common:
You have no skills you CM all you do is press a button. This comes from people who spam Torso shot, HS3, eyeshot, headhit3 crap like that. Only thing is when I apply a poison/disease I stop for 4 seconds while anyone can chase me and beat me senseless.

Speaking of grenades, I once found an Action Poison C-21, lol.

I was a TKM for awhile myself. It was very very very rare that meditation every saved my bacon against a CM. What you guys/gals don't seem to know or acknowledge is that you can't meditate while in combat. What does this mean???

I was under the impression that you can do meditate after you have /peace. Not sure how the last one did it but as I was heading home after a corvette mission and overt as hell we ran into an overt rebel. My friend had died on the vette and had bad wounds. He went down in 2 seconds meanwhile I poisoned and diseased the rebel. He simply KD/dizzied me then said to me "Now dont you go anywhere" as I flopped around. He managed to med off the poison/disease before I got up then killed me quickly.

Morale of the story...stick all of your high kinetic/stun armor in a droid and put it on after the vette. My encumbrance sliced energy layered corvette armor didn't help much against his /headhit1.

Funniest thing I hear from any non-doctor/non-meditate 4/0/0/0 victims?- "Combat medics should be just medics." or "You're a hybrid and should be able to be an elite class." Sometimes I wonder if they are the same people that post that junk on our boards.

Just read the rest of my post Brainplay,I mention (several times I think) of disengaging combat and trying to find a "safe" place to meditate. In the particular sentence that you quote from me, "in combat" describes a situation where a player is in a field of battle and fighting. In the rest of my post I mention that once you disengage combat (i.e. /peace), it is hard to find a place on a battlefield where one cannot be "engaged" in combat by another player.

If I were to /peace in the middle of a battlefield and drop to my knees to meditate, I could be instantly knocked out of meditate by any enemy who wishes to target me and hit an attack key. The real gas about it is that an enemy could be much more than 64 meters away to bring one out of meditate. All they have to do is target you then hit any attack key... regardless if they are out of attack range. So that means that an enemy could have you targeted 120 meters away and hit any attack key to instantly bring you out of meditate. Experienced combat teams will keep an eye on enemy TKA's and use this trick in order to prevent them from meditating at the back of the battle.

What happened with you is a special case whereone could use /peace while still around an enemy who is alive. I think what happened was this: you can't attack or initiate an attack while you are KD'd. The TKM was able to /peace out and meditate because once /peace'd he could drop and meditate without fear of you being able to initiate an attack from off the ground. While you could target him, you couldn't attack and initiate combat.

It sucks that this happened to you man. I have a general distaste for players who use PvP as grief tools. I like my fights honorable.

Yes I agree with what you are saying. However, group battles aren't as commonplace as single or duo engagements. Add to the fact that my only defenses are rifleman means that dispatching me isn't all that hard should a melee manage to close range. Dont think he was griefing me just using a sensible tactic at the time. I should have been able to smoke him with my rifle easily....but this is EQ version swg01.

Heh, the vast majority of my battles are between my team and small enemy forces I only duel for fun

Against CM's, there wasn't anything that I could get my hands on to make my life easier that I wouldn't use. Anytime I could use meditate I would. I found that it rarely rarely saved my bacon though
