Thread: Anti-CM tactics...

While these tactics are very well thought out, there is a flaw. You assume that the combat medic strikes first. When i pvp with my combat medic skills, i wait until they charge the base then start to poison. Once everyone is engaged, most of the time they won't stop and go after just me. That is suicide.
Also, you assume there is only one combat medic. The most effective pvp team i have ever seen was 3 mcm/riflemen,3 tkm/masterfencers, and 2mdocs. They were untouchable. You got hit with 6 poisons within 4 seconds, then mindshot to hell. 10 secs later, if you weren't dead when the poisons ticked, your mind was at 1, and one shot from anything incapped you.
Good post, and you make valid points about entiretainers and doctors. Never brought a dancer with me on a pvp raid. Will have to try that, but one would think they would be an easy target?
If you have any significant PvP skill, and you are a ranged attacker, you should be able to DB the CM before you hit the 1st tick, and almost invariably before the 2nd tick.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that is BS, if the CM is smart and wears 80% composite armor and 35%+ stun layers it takes minutes to bring them down. Not everyone is privilaged to be a FOTM Rifleman.
So tell me, besides bringing doctors along with me everywhere I go, how can I beat someone like this? I bet even if I was a FOTM Rifleman I couldn't have taken him. Even if I had managed to beat him I would have died. No covert doctor would heal me.
Yes poison only ticks once every ten seconds so the DPS is in theory low, but it does unhealable damage straight through all armor, all buffs, all defenses, so on and so forth.
You forgot:
DON'T FORGET TO TIME YOUR MOUN whenever you pop a mind healer you do so right AFTER the poison has ticked. Otherwise you have just wasted a perfectly good 10 second respite.
Otherwise a fine thread. I think these are needed and hope people read them and learn... but as the responses from a certain poster allready has shown, most people don't want to learn when they can call for nerf.

If you AREN'T bringing a DOC with you...You deserve to get owned in PvP. Simple and plain honest truth.I'm sorry it had to be said, but.......Message Edited by Munga_Meds on 04-19-2004 06:04 AM
NO, thats crap. I'm not talking about large scale PvP here, this is 1v1. WHen I log on and I can't find any doctors around should I say, well no PvP I guess, I'll just log off now. I'm already dependant on a doc for buffs, but thats pre-battle and easy to get.
