Thread: New combat rules, END of CM?
I got to thinking, and since the dots no longer incap the only reason i win a lot of fights is because they get to a point they can't use specials on me in a few ticks, i.e they have to stop eyeshoting me due to too few pool points.
However with the new combat rule they will be able to use specials on use even with just 1 point of a stat left.
What does everyone think of this?
Whoa! This is something i havn't Thought about....*Ponders*....
Ok New system (from what we know about it) takes the special cost from your maximum Pool number and leaves your Current Health level unchanged....So for example you have 1000 health and then you use a special that takes 100 heath Then your new health numbers would be 1000 Health and the max health you can have is then 900....Like 1000/900, but thePool regenerates much faster now. Ok so thats how specialswill work with the new system, if it doesn't change(i think it will).
Ok Now poison Deals Damage to thePool level...But not the Pool Max, the damage can be healed. So it is Going to Boil down to the question, What happens When somone has 1 / 1000 numbers and they try to use a Special that costs 100? Does it Give you the "Unable to do special" message OR does it let the special go threw and give you the new levels of 1 / 900? Maybe somone Who got more Experience from the TC can tell us.....
But the way it looks to me that it would let the special go threw....And if not, Still it devalues the Effectivness of to the poison.....People canspaming specials on you while under the effect of a poison without consideration of "Killing themselves"....Honestly having given some more thought to it, All forms of Damage will be devalued.....Look like they are gonna break PvP even more.....heh, Who knows ![]()
In long pvp battles diseases make a big difference. Most battles are over pretty quick, but when you get two groups who know what they're doing it can go on for some time.

There's almost no way you can solo someone who knows what they're doing if you're a CM. It's a support profession. You need protection fromyour team's fighters.So in that sense the 1hp rule doesn't makea big difference.
But if you're master rifleman and CM, that's a cool combo for sure.

ya i'm very close to moving to pistol, my rifle IV skills miss way too much, but i'm saying CM's in trouble in the future we're fine for now
This new system has to be made to make a check to see if the character has any action left at all before the person can execute their special.
The whole argument about Combat Medics and the 1 point rule was because the Devs wanted to make combat medics where they could keep people from spamming their specials all the time. Well if they implement the new system without making some checks against the HAM value, poisons really are less effective in that role.
