It needs a 1 min timer. A cm can keep aplyying it after every 15 2nds. I tested it and it needs nerfed or melee will never survive agianst CMs. CM should not be a FOTM, FOTMs shouldn't even exist anymore.

Next there needs to be a timer on healing with different healing abilties.

I haven't really had test-experience with this, but I do believe that it breaks upon an attack. However, I don't know if it factors in other CM attacks such as fire and poison attacks, whihc would make it over-powering. Then again, I might be wrong lol....

All roots including those from the pistoleer and smuggler lines can be constantly re-applied. Originally it was supposed to break when damage was taken but it currently does not. With a range of only 15m, having it break upon damage taken would make the skill completely useless.


FOTM templates shouldn't exist anymore but the ability for profession skills to be used by other professions and weapons made FOTM not only a fad but something of necessity. BH/insert ranged profession here is a perfect example.


Currently there already is a timer on healing with different abilities and due to the amount of healing be so low a dedicated healer really needs to have a minimum of 3 different types of heals and entire healing efficiency line to get by. Group healing is already tough enough as is with only 600pt heals to use on 7 other group members. You are grouped aren't you? The days of soloing are gone dude. Get some friends.

I tested cm i could use Paralyze in a macro so that it every time wares off i reapply right before my opponent can't get off a atk. I could use a stim+bacta shot+ Adv Bacta Throw+ any other healing cxommands without the 1 min timer. The 1 min timer only applys for using the same healing command.

I'm confused about paralyze.. I read the skill and its described as ""This offensive ranged medical ability prevents an opponent from being able to perform any action or move for a short period of time. Any damage to the target during this period will break the effect and allow them to perform actions again"" How is this useful?.. Once applied, sure, they cant move, but once you do damage to them it breaks and they can move again...

The best fix would be for it to start breaking on damage like its description suggests. Right now, Paralyze appears to be able to stopthings (mobs at least, need to try against players with KD Recovery) from even so much as getting up off the ground. Anyone stuck on the ground for that long is going to be in for a world of hurt.


Chain Rooting and Chain Mezzing (really Holding at this point...) just really shouldn't be possible. If some of these abilities aren't going to start breaking on damage, they really need to have a timer for how frequently they can be applied. The ability itself doesn't need an increased timer, just something like the old PD/KD timer where a player hit with it becomes immune to it for a short period of time.

The problem is, that a DOT is still no DMG. So we can apply all our DOTs, then paralyze and look how the opponent die, as long we are not stupid enough to shoot. CM would be a fair opponent without the paralyze, he still have movementreduction. Everyone who want to do PvP now have CM as second profession. Its boring like before!

Nice Balancing SOE! Same with the jediskill which freeze the opponent.


I have tested now the CM and it seems its the only way for a BH to get a Jedi down. I really thought something will be changed with CU. But now its more boring then before, cause the melee cant do anything too. And the ranged? Can only beat the melees as long they are not a CM. Let the stupid Dotwars continue. I am out of PvP and hope for fairer / more balanced times.

paralyze is just like warcry used to be...it prevents you from doing anything, no healing, no kd recovery, no attacking.


it is currently bugged, just like warcry was, and doesNOT break when you get hit again.


paralyze is supposed to be used for temporarily taking someone out of combat, while you...heal, attack another target, or run to the bathroom

As it works now it can be constnatly reapplied and does not break when hit. BH/CMs can keep you constantly rooted to infinity while BH/Riflemen snipershot you.

it is intended to break upon damage taken. no nerf needed. just needs to be *cough* tested... oh, we skipped that... there you go
