Thread: NEw to CM

hey guy's, ive just made it to novice CM, and i was looking at some vendor's but all the stim's i saw have alot highr med use than what i am currently, is there a noob vendor on starsider which sell's low level med's


any help would be nice

Congratulations on finding a vendor, those are hard to find sometimes.


The reason why you can't find a low CM use vendor is that "low CM use items" are rather weak so there is low demand. As such, people almost invariably go up the CM support line first (which also gives the important terrainnavigation skill), which further decreases demand, to the point that it is not feasible to sell low combat medic use items.


I would recommend forgetting your are a combat medic, and act like a master medic until you get to around master orexpert combat medic support (which you will likely want to get to as fast as you can). By then, you can start using area stims and medium-high level individual poisons.


If you really want to buy low med use combat medicines (keeping in mind you will likely only use them for a few days), you might want to contact a master combat medic directly (maybe send a mail to the person who made the meds on the vendor you checked).


Keep in mind that if you want to get any substantial number of them, you might need to pay a "this is an annoying order" premium. if you want to get one or two, you will likely be fine (the medic will throw it together and put in on the vendor), but it is distracting to try to create a few sets of 10 or 20 medicines in a crate, which will likely never sell except to the person who ordered them.

If you're on Gorath I can sell you some advanced components to make your own low grade poisons and diseases.


I have some resources that I might be persuaded to part with as well. (Except for Eleton which is too rare as of yet)


Or you can try to just sit a day or two grinding ABECs untill you hit CM crafting IV by then you can make your own low level meds.

Hi i am new to combat medic and currently still grinding it out whilst doing pistols could someone please post the materials needed to make the master block of poisons and diseases if possible thanks for looking.

Edit: one thing not mentioned on first glance is that it's OQ and DR that you should look for aon component resouces. OQ and PE for everything else.

You need +10 in experimentation mods to get another point of experimentation, +20 in experimentation mods to get 2 extra points of experimentation. There is no way you can get more experimentation than 12 points.


Is it necessary to get 12 points? No. You need fabulous resourceses that took me about 11 months to gather to where I can put more than 10 points of experimentation in any one line. Is it a good idea to get the 2 extra points? Yes. Recent reductions in CM poisons and DoTs make it necessary to spend experimentation points outside of damage, especially for PvP.

ahh the ever elusive 12 point MCM. I see. If you have the possibility of becomming a 12 point MCM then by all means go for it.

I am new to CM and want some help with the resoruces i should use and where to buy them.

I am on the BRIA server.

I have read the FAQ so i have a rough idea of what to get hold of, but where can i find them, and which types, there seem to be lots of types of each resource, which is the best?

Welcome to CM!

Your best bet will probably be to try the bria trade forums. Also, watch for resource appearances on www.swgcraft.com. It takes a while to get all the rare resources needed for Combat Medic, but I feel it's worth it.

You might want to make a post on your trade forums asking what the best resources are. If you click on the CM FAQ link that is stickied in the main section of this forum, it will tell you everything you could possible want to know

On Curb I plan to dabble with CM. I only have enough SP to go up two trees. Which Do you suggest. Keep in mind i want to have great poisons/venoms to use and be effective.
