Thread: Paralyse and Stopping Shot

Can they be chained? IE can i run up paralyse, Debuff, root, apply DoTs and any other States?

Im not sure but that would be a great thing when fighting a Jedi. You paralyse is. the uff up. the stopping shot. Duelest stance then pummle it.

don't they both have that +daze+ effect to stop it chaining?....might be wrong

yeh i thought that but u can indefinatly keep someone paralysed, by jus standing there mashing the paralyse button, its quick enuf to get it off before the rage effect kicks in. i was thinking maybe, root DoTs,/ debufs then paralyse and the rest of the debuffs then run away Adv. Crit. KD etc you know the score.

Chaining para is a bug, you shouldn't be able toget in there before it runs out and reapply it.


Stopping Shot has no immunity timer, but has a horrendously long cooldown timer of around 50 seconds, so if you miss... unlucky, and dont think about using it for crowd control.


Two players with Stopping Shot can chain it one after the other and keep a target perma rooted, this is somethnig I'm trying to get fixed.

so by that logic i could run up root, apply Debuffs and a few DoTs, advanced crticial, KD, paralyse, apply any other Debuffs an DoTs then throw in another Advanced critical...? thats like nearly all there health gone/ incapped right there....

I wanted toexpress my opinion about that remark.


Chain paralyze is my most valuable ability in places such as the Death Watch Bunker as I and another CM if there is one can hold a target until the group is able to take it. Losing chain paralyze for PvE will be a killer to my usefulness in a group as I am unable to tank anything for an extended period of time.


I could care less if bounty hunters can chain paralyze a jedi into bordom.

No one has mentioned this yet, but any damage will break a Paralyze. So while you can Paralyze and then drop debuffs, you cannot drop Dots. As soon as the first hit, Paralyze will be broken and you will not be able to reapply it until the damage stops.

I know that, in my last post i was assuming the DoT would break paralyse.

It used to have a rage effect, now it doesn't there trying to get it given back, sounds more like a re evaluated fix than nerf to me.
