Thread: +1 kills this profession... And all the people who complained about poison forgot 1 thing...!
Like I've said time and time again, TKA is the profession the Devs cater to the most, and probably the biggest group of whiners as well.
Want to know the reason CM got nerfed? It's one of two classes that can actually take down a TKA. Commandos however, are not nearly as effective against TKAs as CMs are. Make a 320 effective Mind C, and the TKA goes down whether he wins or not.
That is why we got nerfed. Well, since we have no weapon that can kill any longer, can we get a nice CM version of Force of Wills? Speaking of, that seems to be one of the big TKA complaints as of late, "Force of Wills should always work once every 15 minutes". Don't give me that.
In addition to that, has anyone else noticed that /applypoison seems to be failing quite a bit more frequently now? I wanted to test the range, which hasn't changed by the way, and I did so on an utter newb buddy of mine. Five applications in a row he resisted. FIVE! How the heck is that possible against a guy that barely has Rifle 2 and Explor 3? Can you explain that? I sure as hell can't.
I animately refuse to go TKA, just for sheer self-respect. Want a cry for NERF? Hows this:
NERF TKAs! Cheesiest class in SWG. At least if a Jedi whoops me, I can live with it. I can't beat a single TKA that has 0,2,4,0 PERIOD! When are we going to see that nerf?
For all the people who complained about our poison forget 1 thing! Poison is cureable That's right let me say this again... Poison can be cured! As usual the devs cater to the whiners and complainers and the d00ds that infest this game. Remember in the last big patch the Devs put in the 75% decrease in PVP damage. The d00ds, whiners, and complainers said.. d00d I can 1 hit no one anymore.. my LLC suks, Eye shot suks etc etc etc... The Devs ran to this call and reversed the decrease. These are the SAME people who whined, complained about our posion. Yet they all forget this is a team game. If you find a doctor friend, and there are tons of good doctors in this game and on your server, our posion is dealt with quite easily. I have come up against Doctors who had dancers enhance their mind and they shrug off my best C poison. Not only do you kill our profession with this 1 HAM hit point left you kill the the doctor profession as well. Why even bother to go up the first line in doctor anymore. it will be useless since both Cure posion and diease is in this line.I do agree that if you find a medical center/cantina and sit I am all for the posion disapating over time more quickly inside these buildings than when you are out in the field. You see its all those d00ds who before the TEF(R) was fixed and Diease applied to upon death that ruined our profession. Those are the players who gave the Combat Medic a bad name. Why, WHY should the whole profession be punished for these poeple's actions? Take the 1 HAM hit point out before the patch goes live. Please, you will kill this profession and many CM will be typing "OK" to surrender all their hard work... For example.... Target A comes along... You poison target A... target A uses Burst Run... You use Burst Run... You catch Target A with 1 hit point... You incap target A and then DB him.... Target B comes along... You posion, Target B uses Burst Run.. You are tired... You cannot catch him... Target C etc etc this will be HORRIBLE! Devs please use your heads and put in another solution than the 1 HAM hit point. Also your telling me that being put on fire is not worse than anything we have. Fire does damage AND wounds. Alot of them. Diease doesn't inflict that type of damage/wounds like fire does.... Anyway I think I made my point... Again if you missed it...POISON can be CURED!

Im a BH and for one hate mind poison, but only because ive died from it lol. Nah it is pretty much ruining you and think that this fix is wrong all wrong.
Maybe making DoTs of all kinds last much less the time would have been a better plan.
It's not just that poison can be cured, it can be cured by the 4th-most-common Elite Profession in the game (according to SOE's Astromech Stats page).
The problem is all the uber-elite Commandos & Bounty Hunters who don't want to group with Doctors and think they should be the be-all, end-all of the game, and they're pissed when they run into something that causes them trouble.
Why anyonethinks it will be hard to follow up your poison attack with a single shot from a CDEF pistol to put the person out of action, I don't know. With 1 hitpoint the opponent won't be able to do a single special. They're going to be out of the fight and running for the team doctor as fast as their legs can carry them.

sure youll be able to save yourself if you HAVE THE PROPER SKILLS, but everybody else in your group will end up getting incapped, and subsequentally die. i guess we all have to get doc in order to be on a level playing field with poison.

No just have a Doc around. I went on a base raid once where an Imp CM poisoned all of us with mind poison on a suicide run. As soon as it hit me I removed my armor, popped some Muon, tossed an AE heal and RAN away from the center of that group into the open. They killed the CM and started to drop . That's when I started chain curing everyone. We got everyone up and ready before his reinforcements arrived and the base was destroyed, Mission Accomplished.
You want to beat a CM? Kill him before he tosses his poison, or make sure you have a SMART Doc at your side.

CM's aren't Commandos! Geez. Our purpose ISN'T to be kamikaze AOE Poisoners, the poisons are just a support skill meant to help by weakening the opponents; CM's were NEVER meant to be a killing machine! We get AOE Heals, Ranged Stims, and you're still upset?
The reason for not wanting poisons to stop at 1 is so CM's can poison and know their victim is going to die. I admit, I'll miss the Mind poison that killed ANYONE (Commando, BH, TKA, etc) even if I died, but hell, I'm NOT a PvP guru, I'm a friggin healer. Combat medics are meant for field healing with some support abilities to make it EASIER for combat classes. We are NOT a combat class.
The poison change means a single CM can no longer take any and everything that comes it's way with a Mind poison. Especially now with the /tendmind going to us as well.
