I'm working on a new template to try out for hunting Jedi. I'm working on BH 3040 (I think that's the pistols line, not sure) and CM 4004.I'm thinking I can try poisoing the mind and then hit them with a few eyeshots and hope they get through. With the increased terrain negotiation I should be able to keep a reasonable distance from Padawans at least.
What I'd like to know is how good are Jedi at resisting poisons and disease when they are applied. Any other advice and tactics would be great too.
I am currently grinding out the Medic XP in the Medical Centres, it's taking forever! Where else can I do this? Geo Cave might be good I think.
Thanks.

Against padawans and in general PvP, BH pistols and master pistoleer is your best bet with a sooped up DE-10. Only those with master lightsaber skill get the 85% range block. If you're going after knights then you're better off with fencer or some other melee profession with high dodge and melee toughness. Knights often havea healingforce treefor at least themselves and that heals the MIND even while they're on their backs.

Thanks Brainplay. You don't think I'll do so well with this BH and CM template then?

Really? Perhaps my maths aren't what they used to be but I didn't think I would have enough skill points to train as a Master CM and still hunt Jedi. If I am wrong and I can do this then it sounds like this might be the way to go.

... not possible, that would be over the skill cap -
BH 3.0.0.0, CM 4.4.0.4 leaves 1 skill pt left over

My mate does CM BH the same template your on about and he can solo knights with ease normally they will run away from him but some stay to fight and die.
My only advice with that is get your hands on some nasty spider vemon poisons if you can, then all you have to wurry about is the lucky shot and there mind which they don't block.

I've been reading up on this CM stuff, isn't spider venom really hard to lay your hands on? I thought the spider in the Geo Cave wasn't dropping it now. I'm not going to be able to craft my own poisons anyway with this template but I guess I could always work something out with an existing CM. Where's the best place to get my venom's and resources from to make poisons?
Thanks for your help with this guys

currently, the spider is not dropping any venom. When it does, your template sounds decent. Personally, your best bet to fight a jedi is to become a melee stacker. You can just drain their force, until they have none left, and then you can kill em.

Thanks very much
I've never done a melee profession and really don't want to, I've never liked the idea of it but I quite fancied the idea of Combat Medic and read on the BH board that this template might be quite good for BH work so I'm giving it a go

Ok you can fight and maybe beat knights if they dont have any healing skills. Of course you wont be able to get any bounties that way either. No defenses with 4/4/0/4 CM and 3/0/0/0 BH and that equals a pretty dead CM. And if you get deathblowed before he dies you get nothing. Most people still seem to think CM's still have massive throwing ranges
I've heard all about these CM/BH templates and so far its only propagandaor theories by NON-combat medicsor its against padawans that even a novice carbineer can take down easily (nothing personal to the Mcarbineers). Its more akin to a MDoctor/MCM template. Awesome for support but solo its not that hot. Bring yourself a group and sure, you're golden. Solo it and only the noobs will let you live. Melee templates with toughness, CoB, intimidation, and non-85% blockable attacks are the most effective against most Jedi.
Moving on..
As far as venom and resources you'll find you're going to have to depend on a CM craft vendor or friend for all of your supplies. CM resource spawns are fairly rare especially with high OQ's. You'll learn to hoard them like a dragon hoards treasure (you'll learn to despise DE's too). Venom of course comes from the Geo cave as you mentioned but yes, there is a bug that prevents it from dropping any right now.

Well that's it, I have finished grinding themedic XP and now I have my finished template: BH 3040 CM 4004. I'm going to try it later on tonight and see how I get on, need to find a good CM vendor first though on Eclipse.
Any suggestions? I'm hunting Jedi, never used to bother with much food before. What do you suggest? Thakitillo helps stop you getting knocked down right? I'll need some of that. I used to take vercupti but haven't seen any for a while... is it still in the game? Brandy I guess I need too. What else?
Thanks guys
