Heal mind is a joke. Each use give the cm 40 some wounds in all mind stats and bf.

I think it's meant to be used sparingly and in the most dire of events.

The reson you dont see many cms using heal mind is its very limited, 6 meter range and 3 - 4 uses and the cms mind is cooked.

Healmind is a very useful ability. However, there are several caveats to using it:
1) An unbuffedcombat medic can use it maybe 6 times before being totally useless. Not "can't heal mind anymore", but literally totally useless.
2) In PvP combat, if you do not healmind, realistically the party member is going to clone and jump back in combat within 2 minutes
3) Those who receive a healmind rarely understand how hard it is to use. I've left a 20 minute battle against a tusken executioner in worse shape than the Teras Kasi who did all the tanking. Literally people have asked "what happened to your mind???" after using it a few times, and they aren't doctors so don't know about the secondary wounds...
So basically, a combat medicshould only healmind when it will add to the long term benefit of the party, not to save an ungrateful... player...a few minutescloning time, a brandy, or a few seconds incap time. In PvP as it stands now, this is very infrequent. In PvE combat, this only really is the case in a one time large battle, usually against a single large mob(as the combat medic would need be able to heal/poison if there was a second battle).
Healmind is a very good and useful skill, and I use it on afairly regular basis. However, it is *very* important to note the time and place. A good combat medic has many more responsibilities to keep a single person on his or her feet, and healmind has a *lot* of trade-offs for its use.
It might sound arrogent, but I am not convinced that somebody who has never had to use it themself, even one who knows the numerical effect of a combat medic, really understands exactly what the repercussions of a healmind is (as evidenced by the "can you mindheal me so we can move on to the next lair" requests I have gotten).

Might I ask whats your purpose behind this thread. If its to tell us we can heal mind, we know. If its to debate or discuse heal mind and its uses then you have to try harder then say 40 wounds to all mind stats to heal 1k mind is a fair trade off. If its a trolling post, were used to them.

I think the purpose was to let us know that there is a /healmind command.

Not to remind you that you have mind heal, but to inform you that it is actually useful.

It's useful when you don't want to die.
Other then that, it can quickly go outta hand and soon you're spent.
Example: heal a swordsman's mind while on a turret bust raid, before you know it, you're at 600 mind wound. Then come the riflemen....
Quick work of you and the swordsman.
We know the move is there...it's just very painful...very, very, very painful.

Mind healing comes at a cost. If my party is fully buffed and ready to rumble with a mind buff, focus/willpower buff, brandy and a helmet, so if the party is as protected as they can, then I'm more than happy to help out with a mind heal. If a punk hunting sharnaffs is having 400 mind and no helmet, I won't waste my mind for him.
