Why do all the CM's I run across think it's okay to throw poison while SWIMMING? I can't shoot or do any attack while swimming.

I don't think about it one way or the other. I've never done it.


However, it is my understanding that everyone with the ability to use stims can heal while swimming. The devs, to this point, have applied the same rules for healing to the use of poisons and diseases.


Now you answer a question for me. Why do you feel it necessary to come here and whine to us about it? We can't change it, not all of us want to, we have no control over it, and we hear plenty of wah wah wah already.

Please elaborate on what you mean about whining? I was asking a question. You say I'm whining to give yourself more credit. I was asking it to the CM community because we are discussing it on Bria and it is a big deal there since it is used heavily.

Now now, Tcornwall. The original post had a tone that could be interpreted as whiny and slightly agressive. We get a lot of that and are probably more sensitive to it that what is good for us.


Asking if we were affraid to answer didn't help the way it looked though.


It might have been that no one knew, I've never even used a heal while swimming and even less so a poison or disease. The situations where this provides a strategic advantage are rather few as well. Or do you guys on Bria often duke it out "Water World" style?

BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

Hi, I was in the process of changing my template to have some TKA, and CM. I was wondering if you could give me any suggestions on how high I should go on CM. The problem I have is that, I only have enough skill pts to master one of them. I have 12 pts tied up in force boxes so I come short. If I master TKA then I can have 4,1,0,4 CM. Is that worth it? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

TKM/CM4004 works rather well.. (18 skill leftover)

TKM/CM4404 if you want to use /mindheal.. (4 skill leftover)




The primary weakness of a troll is supposed to be fire..
So why the hell are they always getting themselves into flame wars??

As CM 4,0,0,4 what will I be able to do? Is master CM a big difference for poisons use? I was thinking of just keeping TKA 4,0,0,4 (head hit1) and mastering CM. But if CM 4,0,0,4 is just fine, then I will master TKA instead.

at 4004 CM, you do 175% of the listed effectiveness mod per tick. At master this increases to 200%. Master gives a small boost to range (something weak like 3m from non master, cant remember). You will probably not be able to use area C packs. Fortunatley for you and unfortunatley for the profession, 4004 is fine if you have someone to craft for you. TKM would be a much better choise.

aaaah yes, my favorite subject.

the MOMENT i am done with my FS quests, i am going back to TKM/CM4004.

of all the profession combinations i have played, TKM/CM4004 is BY FAR my favorite. i LOVE having the ability to add DoTs to TKM. Stacking poisons and using TKM skills...there is nothing like it in game.

i miss it BADLY

P.S. on Bloodfin there are a couple of Master Combat Medics who build me C poisons of both the single and area variety that i can stack with B's and even A's if i like. they have to be 'dumbed down' to 75cmu, but they still get the job done quite nicely.

Hey all,

I've read through some of the threads, though I am looking for a comprehensive list here. Post CU changes that is. I am currently a MBH and working towards MPistoleer. I plan on going xxx4 Combat Medic. I am wondering what stims can I use? Can I heal wounds? If so, what do I use for those? I use to have it all down, but the changes with the CU is getting me all confused. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Well, stim d's are you max on healing stims but unfortunately everyone can use those. You wont need enhancers for the skills in XXX4 unless you really want them, they may increase duration a small amount other than that you wont need them. I'm not sure on would healing i believe you get that at novice now. Personally I dont use any wound healing enhancers because i can heal about 75 or more at a time (if im not incorrect), but i am a mcm/mdoc.
