ok I forgot to mention that the title was the worst title ever, as well. whatever...
I play SWG since 3 month ago (call me noob if you want, I don't care, I have some fun, that's the point)
so I tried a few professions, and for all of those, I used to browes profession boards for usefull or anecdotic infos.
as I started combat medic, I also started to read these lines.
we have more posts crying for nerfs than actually combat medic posts.
I'd like to ask a question to the nerf cryers:
why don't you post on other professions to get them FIXED ? so you get the same result, and you get to keep dignity.
another thing:
I thought TKA was overpowered, so I went TKA, and yes dizzy/KD is actually overpowered. and TKAs hit hard as a winter gas bill. but the point is: they have cheezy defenses (just as commandos). ok
so let me ask you another question:
would ANYONE want to play a profession that stinks ? I mean take off the TKA or commado damages, and see what will happen, no more TKAs, no more Commandos, except maybe hologrinders (who, as we all know, are ruining professions already).
so let's do some maths now, very simple:
let's say the balance between offense and defense is 10 points.
TKA's get 6 points to offense, 4 points for defense (toughness/mitigation etc...)
Fencers get 4/6 as well as pistoleer, don't hit hard, but have good defense mods
Commandos get, let's say 9/1
and, finally combat medics get like 10/0 there's nothing easier to kill than a medic, healing delays, ticks delays, a TKM or Rifleman can easily take a CM in like 4 or 5 hits, don't mess with me, I did it, and the guy died way before I ran out of mind, just burst run, and if you get lunge2, you don't even have to.
ok let's talk about unbalanced now.
Pikemen, I'd like to say 4/4 bad accuracy, average defenses
Carbineers, let's say 3/4 cause they just kill themselves with specials
that's unbalanced, so go to the pikemen/carbineer boards and cry for fixes
take a few seconds ingame, while waiting for the shuttle, take a look at CM tree, I'll give you 10 bucks if you can find a SINGLE defense mod in the WHOLE TREE, even less than commandos who have a few.
take a few seconds now, offgame, and check how many combat profession we can take along with CM, ok the best one would be rifleman. ok ? now let's just write a thing that EVERYONE who is familiar with PvP in SWG know: Having a single elite combat profession, even the "uber" one, is just useless, take TKM or rifleman alone if you don't believe me, and then go PvP. you'll just get OWNED by any good PvPer around, that's a known fact.
so you whiners, let me just tell you what you really are:
You may play for more than one month, you went to the boards, checked about what is the "uber" profession, you did master it, then you went PvP.
you simply got owned by more experienced players who actually know what they're doing, not like you, just spamming the "supposed" "I win" button, without using what's supposed to be inside your skull.
let's say -for example- you got TKM, made a macro with unarmed KD2, and unarmed hit 3 spam, like 80% of TKMs, even those who are "friendly" duelling out there. you can apply this to other profession supposed to be "uber"
then, one day, you got diseased, I know how you could feel that day, you just panic'd "oh god, my macro doesn't work anymore, what can I do without my super special total ownage ?" then you just died (as TKM/blademaster/master brawler, yea another supposed "uber" template, I know what I'm talking about, I just got 2 master commandos to panic with the mind bleeds I got with my few skill points left, then I got both, you panic, you die, plain and simple).
so you just died, just as you were supposed to, only justice IMO. then you started to doubt, about how "uber" you were, then you couldn't just realize that NO template is INVINCIBLE, so you started to wonder who owned you so easily, oh ! a combat medic ! then, wounded in your ego, and just unable to understand that there's no "I win" template, you started to whine, without trying to understand why you lost, so I'll tell you why, you panic'd, then you lost, cause you just didn't know what else you could do, over your well set KD2/UH3 macro (replace it by whatever you want), so you got lost, and you got slained, just cause you are just unable to play your profession, you want to set all the other professions as limited as your way of playing yours, cause your poor mind is just unable to understand complexity, and finesse. That's why you didn't choose "alternate" templates don't you ?
if CM is so overpowered, why all the noobs are still going TKM/commando or TKM/rifleman ? I got the answer, cause it's easy to understand what are the "I win" command, let me tell you one thing, there's NO "I win command" and you just noticed it when you got owned by a "support" profession, you just didn't realize it.
just a last thing, yall crying for nerf, in the name of gameplay and balance, so start to whine on the following boards.

Politician
Bounty Hunter
Musician/dancer/Image designer
Droid Engineer
Ranger (what's the point about making hughe camps ?)
etc.... etc....
blah blah blah, got owned ? start to question yourself why
you guyz ready ? 3....2....1.... flame I don't give a SH*T about what you're thinking, learn how to play the game then we could talk again.
There are no overpowered stuff in that game (ok maybe KD2), there are just bugs and underpowered professions wich need to be fixed.... and whiners who need to learn how to play...

I'll give you 5 stars even though you already have it, for a having a firm grasp of the obvious. Kudos for stating it like it is, and being a TKM at that.
It's defense stacking that has the game out of whack. We went from being SWG: Poke'mon to being SWG: The Matrix Yet Again and these guys are the Agents. No amount of accuracy can touch them with their ridiculous dodge and defense bonuses.

I have posted here about CM ill admit, my main gripe is the bugged out 90m range and exploiters doing the clone throw poison trick, its lame and gives the profession a bad name, it can and indeed has ruined big PVP battles with lamers doing that trick. Being a TKM myself and Mst Doc my TK is 'pure' i dont stack anything other than my Buffs of course
I get sick and tired of people whining about TKM when its abused by the defence stacking lines of Fencer etc, TK has average defence in its truest form, if the stacking was stopped the whining would stop, same as here on the CM board cut the damn exploits out and fix the range issues then it would stop too.
Being on somewhat of a profession crusade for the Doctors this last week,I have so far nailed3 Imp CMs on Chimaera and the count is growing, not lost yet, never had a tick yet from poison/disease, idiots it seems think CM is uber now on Chimaera,everyone isgoing for it,one guy moaned at me I cheated cos I didnt get diseased!! Im a Mst Doc m8...another.. TKM are overpowered...er I got on my bike chased you down (he was 60m away)/dismount /warcry (stops his burst run) i burst run, i catch him KD2 headhit headhit UH3 Biiiieeee...(this guy wasnt buffed and no armour why PVP then lol!!)If he had been looking and saw me rushing in he would have got on his bike and run off, but i got there quicker than him big deal, another time ill be done, works for me and had a good larf, thats what its about in my book.
To me CM is just about fine after fighting a few, just sort the range leapfrogging issue and that damn clone exploit its apvpbattlekiller.
And note the Docs that read this.. we own CMs

There is a food available in-game that provides poison/disease resist for a period of time. Perhaps the CM profession is balanced and working as it should.
You should look into helping fix the other professions as it easier to cry nerf than actually create a solution to a broken profession.
As for the defence stacking if one spends 234 pts in combat skills, should one not gain some benefit from this? Even if they remove this ability, many will drop them, but on my alt I shall not as it provides a broad range of offensive abilities. Which is something your cannot nerf. As switching between weapons to achieve a goal is good tactics.

Actually...TKA's get some pretty nice Defense...And actually they did take away commando damage..And yes its ridiculous that the Combat medic/commando forums get trolled by so many nerf callers. If youre going to be there, good for you, but dont be a jerk.

This is definitely one of the worst profession forums because the ratio of complainers is so high. This has the negative result of driving away good and positive posters whichpushes the forum downward.
I would encourage everyone to not feed the trolls.
And when you do see a troll, report them using the report fuction. There are too many messages for the moderators to view them all, but when you bring a troll to their attention, they do act.

My problems with Combat Medic aren't really with the profession, but more of the game mechanics.
So... your arm can throw a poison/disease as far(or further, for some people)as I can shoot. Blah. Everything except melee having the same range is retarded, but what can you do.
But part of the reason people dislike Commando's and Combat Medics is because of their lasting effects. You kill a TKM, he wont bother you till he comes back. You kill a Combat Medic though, and the poison/disease is going to bother you and probably quite a few others for awhile. The 15 seconds that TKM spent attacking will only affect you for 15 seconds, but that 5 seconds a Combat Medic spent attacking could affect you for a number of minutes.
Oh well, I'll probably get called a nerfherder, but atleast I'm prepared. I kept Meditation IV because of Combat Medics.
