Thread: Bleeds
I feel your pain...
I Master all Medicine, and I drain my 1000 mind trying to stop a bleed ![]()
I do believe that the intention is to tie first aid strength into the Medic /Doc line so a Master CM would treat bleeds thhe same as a Master Medic.
I agree completely. If a bleed shot is so easy to put on, just one quick action and it normaly only takes one or 2 attempts. Then it should only take one or two attempts to removed it.
also I am a Doc/CM and most of the time it takes me something like 10 first aid attempts to completely stop a bleed. So not even Doc skill helps that I can tell.

That's like saying that if I slice the artery in my neck or thigh with a simple knife that it should take a simple band-aid to fix it. ER Surgeons spend HOURS in the operating room to fix people that got hurt in seconds. Of all the professions, I have to say, the CM and Doc seem to be the most reasonably on track (not talking aboutbugs, but intentions)
I was hunting savage humbaba lairs for some quick money. I would take them down fairly quickly by hitting knockdown, blind, then spam hit 3 until deaths. Now hit 3 is an interesting move the more I use it on big things. I notice it can blind the target (or was it stun?) However, I do recall it adding a state effect when spammed. No, I'm not mistaking it for the blind I would apply. Sometimes I wouldn't bother with blind and just use hit 3 after the knockdown.
Now, for the ultimate weirdness. When spamming hit 3, I always keep an eye on the humbaba's ham to see if I can hit a quick body/leg/head hit for a faster death. One time, I recall seeing a bleed icon appear. Unfortunately, as soon as it appeared, the humbaba died in the next hit or two. I'm 98% positive I saw this too.
So has anyone else experienced this, or am I just going crazy? Could unarmed hit 3 have some low probability random roll that inflicts a bleed? I haven't been able to reproduce this again because I've been too busy with life and haven't had time to hunt. Am I alone in this at all? Please don't say I'm crazy
Yup sorry, but no more stacking bleeds as of today......it really sucks too.
Also, I might be jumping the gun here, but I just got finished playing and I hit a kunga with a 770 bleed and he only ticked 139 per bleed. I hope they didn't nerf the bleeds so that resist and armor would factor in on the bleed......If so, then bleeds are useless now.

A bit more information concerning bleeds...
- Bleed damage is 20% of the initial damage.
- Bleed damage does not count towards xp. For example... fighting a quenker that has 4754hp and normal gives 2551xp. I do 2187dmg (46% of the quenker's hp)via regular shots and initial damage from the bleed shots. I end up doing 2567dmg (54% of the quenker's hp) from bleed ticks. I get 1173xp for the kill (46% of the xp).
Maybe it's because I'm doing most of the dmg, but I'm still getting around 3400xp for a savage quenker (same as prepatch), using bleeds (though they're about worthless now).
That's been changed with this patch, timmaaw2. Bleeds now do an initial damage and then start a normal bleed cycle at 20% of the initial damage. So it works as 622dmg in the first hit, then 124dmg per bleed tick thereafter.
Amh9876, pre-patch, I'd bet you were getting aconsitent xp number from them, whereas now you are getting a slightly lower and varied xp number. Is this the case?
