Sorry for the stupid question,but where does the Bleed damage display? I don't see it in my window that I have for combat messages.

I'm seeing initial damage from a bleed shot but no further damage, I've heard others having similar problems.

I can confirm what the above posters have said.


Bleeds now have an initial damage - what you see when you shoot.

Bleeds now do 20% of that per tick

Bleeds still stack

Bleeds take away xp from your kill (eg, if I kill a gurreck with just BS2, I get 3600xp, if I use bleeds at all I get 3000-3200ish. I expect bleeding a critter to death then shooting it will net next to zero xp).

It's a good thing that I mastered Pistoleer and Smuggler before the patch. I got my Pistol XP by stacking my bleeds, feigning my death, wait until the mobs health drops to 1, pop back up and finish it off. If the bleed ran out, I would just stand up and reapply and feign again...


I was able to solo red cons on Endor and get 4k-5k Pistol XP a kill. Bummer that they took that away... But oh well. Adapt and move on...

That's disappointing. I used to always open with a hs2/hs1 combo on any decent mob I tried to take down. It was nice to actually have something damage health all the time without spamming BS2. Heh... Guess thatmacro gets deleted, now.


I've heard mobs can die from bleed damage, now. Is thattrue? I know I've lucked out a couple times before they made the "1 health" rule, and had a DB mob die on the way to give me a DB. Used to add to the drama of an incap.

No, in all my testing this afternoon, bleeds still stop at 1hp on bleeds.

I have not tested it yet, but I think bleeds stack with other players, so you can stack 20+ bleeds and that is why bleed damage has been nerfed by so much. This is really anti-soloing / pro-forced-grouping.

I'm still finding healthShot1 and healthShot2 stacking.

For example, fighting quenkers on Dantooine just now...
healthShot1 -335dmg initial > 67dmg bleed
healthShot2 - 578dmg initial > 115dmg bleed

And it isn't a visual bug. Both dots are actually ticking off the mob.

Hmm, maybe it's bugged for some people.....I tried many many many many many times today to stack my bleeds with no luck.....the Healthshot that I landed wouldn't even allow me to get a higher bleed either. When I hit the kunga for the 770 bleed and only got 139 per tick......in hopes that it was just a bad shot, I hit him again with the same health shot doing 749 bleed damage and still he only ticked for 139......I did that after I tried to stack the bleeds....nothing worked.....go figure. I think it's a bug.........I already found a bug with the buff system.....I died while buffed and cloned.. The buff monitor still showed that I have 2 hours left on my buffs when I clearly was not buffed......I didn't get buffed again to see if it would take or if it wouldn't allow me to since the monitor said I was still buffed........


Anyway, a new patch......just means new bugs.....

A bit more information concerning bleeds...


- Bleed damage is 20% of the initial damage.

- Bleed damage does not count towards xp. For example... fighting a quenker that has 4754hp and normal gives 2551xp. I do 2187dmg (46% of the quenker's hp)via regular shots and initial damage from the bleed shots. I end up doing 2567dmg (54% of the quenker's hp) from bleed ticks. I get 1173xp for the kill (46% of the xp).

i know we cant stack bleeds anymore, but has anyone else noticed that they arent doing as much damage as they used to? i put a 1200 point bleed on an npc tonight and the ticks were only doing around 300 points of damage, and it didnt last long. was this a fluke or another part of the nerf?
