Well, hopefully the combat medic class is brought under controll soon. Any combat medic that doesn't think that the poisons and dots are overpowered are kidding themselves. I myself am a combat medic. There comes a time when you need to realize that for the fun of the game, your class must take sacrifices. I would hope that the CM team lead has requested the class be toned down. Any honorable one would. And this is coming from someone who plays DAoC where the team leads do have some say in the evolution of classes, and if your class is overpowered, you recognize it and provide feedback to the developers on how to tone it down. And if they don't, well then when the developers do finally get to your class, they fill over "fix."

I love how everyone says they are a combat medic but really aren't either way, if you can throw 85m you did a great job gathering resources that most people can't do, or never have good enough resource spwans to do so.


If you want to talk about nerf lets talk TKA or commando.

Ok... cooling off...



Now what exactly should be nerfed. I have never ever seen a throw of 85m. I have thrown poisons that hit out to 85m but not thrown one that far. What I think most people fail to realise is that there is a radius to area (hence the name area) poisons. If I throw a poison with 48m radius 48 m It will hit someone 96m away. Its just simple math. Oh and by the way that would be a freaking amazing poison. It would cost the person about 500 creds to hit you with that sucker after buying the stuff to make the components. So lets start charging everyone money every time they use a special now shall we? I think that every time you use a bleed it should cost you at leaste 1 cred per point of damage you do in the bleed. Yes that would be much better. Now lets think here... Yeah I like this idea we now have to load our weapons with bullets or energy packs. Now we are talking spend money to shoot things. Yeah It isn't enough that to use the poison they had to spend a ton of non-combat skill points but also they spent money on it. I see no reason why you should complain about this.

Well, considering we use more skill points than anyone except BH, have to spend hours gathering rare resources, do less damage per second than ANY elite combat profession, our poisons and diseases are a slow to tick, we have NO DEFENSIVE modifiers at all and our main and only attack is easily countered by doctors. I say you are way off base.


Everyone cries when they get hit by poison and disease, yet it is so easily cured and is so slow to even get that first tick in. Last couple times I took my CM out I didn't even waste poison or disease. Every other player was a TKA so they just meditate it away anyways, and I usually die in one hit either way.


If they nerf our poisons and diseases, they should at least boost the strength and range of our area and ranged stims to make up for us spending so many skill points.


But I think your request to nerf us is not valid. I been a master CM for a while and I can tell you if you think we are overpowered you are a sad player.

Spending 500 credits (lol?) on a poisen should not be a "I get to win" button. Docs can only heal so many at a time. What about guys like me, that spent millions on armor and skill mods, only to watch a group of 20 of us triple incapped from disease and poisen, not to metion stacked template out the ying yang. That is RETARDED. I don't care, flame away. Nerf bat is coming. People shouldnt HAVE to travel with a doc to PvP.

LOL, a Defense Stacker speaks! The irony here is, you're gonna get your ass nerfed before anyone else when they take away your precious defenses. LOL. Hopefully, they yank all your KD's too, talk about being overpowered.

So CM's should be the ONLY class to take a hit for the game? I think not.

You see, unlike we omnipotent CM's, there are many classes that get 1 hit wins and dont have to spend alot of skill points to get em. Their called "Knockdowns", and you might be surprised to find out that the Overpowered combat medic class doesn't have one.

In fact, we're so powerful we need others to fight with us if we're to have any chance at all, or take up a combat class like Rifleman. And here's the kicker...even if you're poisoned, you can still fight 100% effectively. Try doing that while lying on your back because you got hit by some defense stacker's I Win warcry+kd macro.


This post gets 5 stars for telling it exactly how it is. I never even thought of that in my argument, but the fact is someone COULD still be 100% combat effective when poisoned.

There are tons of other ways to balance a profession without nerfing them. The CMs have been saying this a long time and the devs know this to be true. The devs have said that Poison and Disease are balanced and in truth they really aren't but that is another story.


Instead of nerfing the profession, there needs to be more effective counters. We have been saying this and the devs have listened. Now there are foods that can increase your resistance, there are foods that can increase your mind, (which in reality is the only real problem).


I do not expect a nerf to the Combat Medic class for sometime. When all of you whiners decide to learn how to defend against the CM then we will be balanced. We do not need the developers to step in and do anything to the class.

Nerf tka because they are some of the only people you aren't guaranteed a win against after hitting your throw poison button? I will never lose 1v1 to any tka or commando (unless the tka sneaks up on me and kd/dizzy before I know whats going on.. even then I would probably win), but all a combat medic has to do is get to just within poison range for the inevitable victory. It doesn't even matter if I manage to incap him in the seconds it takes for my 2800 mind to be reduced to zero; chances are I'll never make it the 65+ meters to his body to db, and even if I did I would be corpsed as well in no time at all. Basically if you see a combat medic and you're not a tka or doctor (or dont have a doc in your group to cure), you will be cloning. What I love most is how the CM's talk shxt after such a scenario takes place ("lol easy noob")... Yeah it must be easy to be undefeatable against any profession combo in the game that doesn't include the tka meditate tree or the doctors cure poison ability.. You clowns think you're good at the game, when ANY common noob could take your template and NEVER LOSE to anyone but a tka or someone with doc skills. Easily the most unbalanced profession in the game at the moment, nerf is inevitable, and when it finally comes I'll be glad to see these FOTM players for what they really are: unskilled and second-rate players.
