You force people to take-up doctor skills just to play on the same field as you. Cms never forced you to take up any skills. They forced you to rethink your templates so you would not be wholly invulnerable to all and promoted diversity by encouraging you to have doctors on hand to defend vs CMs.
Really though, just how bad is it? You can still area poison/disease from a large range,50m isnt long range in my bookand you can still stack, and you still don't get a 75% PvP reduction. How does giving doctors AREA cures really make much difference? because not only can they spam the heals at 0 delay but they will be able to mitigate the damage with a buff. Add to that the resistance on a B class buff outwieghs the potency on a C class poison.
If they are a doctor, they can cure poison/disease already; with havla they can cure lots of it quickly. They can already cure at ZERO delay as is without Havla
If they are not a doctor... they still get killed by you... unless they have a doctor friend... see previous point.
Making it so that you MISS is just bringing you in line with other professions, which is FAIR. Not at that scale
Buffs that help you resist poison are also fair in my eyes. You can eat +melee/ranged defense food, +dodge food, synthsteak...oh yea, and wear armor...etc that help you resist my damage type, why should i not be able to do the same to you? You should but not at that scale. On top of that CMs now have nothing desirable since our healing skills have always been weak thanks to Doctors and now our offensive medicine will be easily negated.
If you go through TH's thread about what people wanted fixing straight away in lieu of the combat revamp, you'll see the extent of the people who want 75% PvP damage reduction for CMs. Don't be selfish, you're breaking the game for the vast majority of people. No, combat imbalances, armor, buffs, Novice medics armed with Super StimBs, all these things killed PVP long before CMs.
If you read between the lines, the devs are trying to implement 75% PvP reduction, via area cures / innoculation buffs. The devs have said before that CM poison is tied to the code that works all the healing; separating them could be messy: hence these solutions. The DEVs have not instituted a 75% damage reduction, they have instituted a 95% damage reduction with a 100% chance to cure the remaining 5%.
Flame me all you want, and i expect it from the professions board.
You are still a good support profession in PvP, you can still do mind damage (area) and heal yours and other peoples mind. In big PVE trips, what do people always shout for in their groups? Since when can a CM heal their own mind? You know I expect this from a troll coming to our boards trying to state opinions based on false information.
You. Nope, without having to worry about poison and disease anymore they will all rely on completely on Doctors. Thanks to Doctor buffs and crafting Super Stim Bs for the Novice Medic crowd our heals mean nothing.
