Combat Medic Archive
Thread: You guys have to admit it,mcm is overpowered at the moment.
PD: Im sure you started crying in tells.
You know those debuffs that cause you so much anguish? There are indeed counters. A "counter" is a measure taken before or during a battle to combat the effects of someone elses special. For example, there is a doctor buff for every CM debuff except electrolyte drain, a snare (one of many in the game). A fully doctor buffed character is effected much less than a plain one.
Other than that, its just being an understanding PvPer. You can cheaply purchase and consume those foods "thatll last you a month" and use them to rapidly deal out damage quickly. Combat Medics can be defeated with tact and knowledge- just like jedi!
We have crap def once some of the more damageing classes get their stuff down we wont look so uber.
You complane about cm but its the skills that we have with cm that kill most people. Cm develops timing once you get that everything flows.
ROFLMAO!!! Do u have a death wish? Are ur meds not working? ![]()
I don't know....they whine when we point out that they are whining and then say they aren't, then they go and whine.. again.....fules!!
For the love all Walkers Roast chicken crisps..... quit the moaning!!!!!!
I've never been able to PvP in my entire life because I'm a MCH first and foremost and took MCM to heal by babies and me while we get our bums kicked into the Earth so the only times I've PvP'd I've got my arse chewed (and not in a kinky nice way) ![]()
Have u SEEN how fast our mind drains when we keep having to heal and dot?? It drains bloody fast and normally there is no way we can just "sit down in a quiet spot" somewhere to regen as the word "combat medic " may give a hint as to the fact we use our skills in... yep.. combat!
Stop the moaning and if you WANT our skills, then drop Jedi and come over to CM, don't whine and whine and hope the devs will make u all uber and nerf us again like they nerf every other profession.
*shakes head* Go back to your own forum please and cry there.
I have no problem with CM's dot attacks and debuffs, to me they seem balanced, my only problem (and this applies to Master Doc and Jedi Healers) is that you guys can go on healing forever..... Healing needs to take a bigger hit on the Mind Bar so fights dont last freaking forever...
If us normal professions (in this case Pistoleer/BH) can not spam there skills, why should healers (docs, CM and Jedi) be able to spam theres? And healing non stop is spamming... Takes forever to kill aHealer in combat because he heals faster then the damage I can dish out.... Then soon as my action bar is depeleted he goes on the attack with his dots/debuffs and what not... only chance I have is when he goes on the offensive is to hope he forget to watch his health bar for a secand let it get low enough that I can do a knockdown so he can't heal himselfand take him out...
Healer is suppose to be a support role not a TANK role... and thats what it has become...

And um ever tried draining a mcm with mind buff, and 3 foods specifically designed to increase mind regain? These foods are cheap too, 50k for a supply thatll last you a month if you use 3 a day. A jedi will run out of force before he even can think about destroying the mind with these buffs and foods. I always thought jedi would be something special in pvp, guess that /respec and double xp made so many of them there worthless. I guess ill jsut make my alt mdoc/mrifles and pwn again, i used to enjoy the cm duels, they though they could take me, then they were on the ground crying. Oh well, maby cm isnt overpowered, maby jedi is underpoweredLeo
Well you made a wise move posting this on a Sunday morning at a very late time. You have no idea of the s***storm the rest of these guys that have been here a while are going to throw at you. There isn't a flame suit made that will withstand the heat of what this thread will become once they get ahold of it.
I will say that (and yes I have a Jedi, so don't go there) I am pretty tired of Jedi wanting everyone else to get nerfed. I've seen them want (in no specific order) BH, smugglers, CM's and riflemen nerfed. And been successful because of the amount of whining done was rediculously overwhelming.
I swear if I hear the 1.5x argument (not saying you said it, just a irritating sticking point with me) one more time I am going to puke. I know the rest of Jedi (I say them because even though I have one, I don't relate to the Jedi community in the slightest, I have no stupid saber in my sig, don't list my Jedi there either. Nor did I change my forum avatar, I simply prefer and know that really no one else cares, to keep my Jedi quiet.)love to spout the 1.5x garbage but, even though its been said, the fact gets steamrolled by the 'whinyness' That 1.5x a 'normal' profession is for a FULLY templated KNIGHT. Not a Padawan, not a partially templated Knight. A full template Jedi Knight is what they were referring to with the original 1.5x stronger comment.
People would ease the hate a lot if Jedi would do the following:
1. Quit crying for nerfs to other professions. Don't know if they don't get it but their nerfs = less fun for the rest of the games professions.
2. Quit being so damned visible. Don't wear their damn robes or pull their sabers out in public. Quit PvPing in the major cities. Be less visible.
3. Play your Jedi as your alt. Thats the way it was 'meant' to be. The minute I unlocked, my Jedi became my alt. My alt is now my main. I haven't ground out 1 point of XP since I unlocked last Sunday. I want to get my main to his template. I've played 2 years as a non Jedi. It may be fun as hell, but I've had tons of fun not being a Jedi as well. Grinding out your Jedi template in a week, a month or whatever is not the way it was meant to be. Why people feel the need to grind like that is beyond me. Its not a race. Getting burnt out on grinding ruins the game for you. I love the game, I don't want to ruin it for myself.
Partial rant, partial defense of my new profession. Lots of logic.

Anyway choices:
1) Jedi be the most powerful warriors, but be rare. If Jedi were going to be "uber" (as they say), then they should be special and gaining that status should not be guaranteed.
2) Jedi be as they are now; common and totally accessible (I'm not saying it's "easy" to get Jedi but I'm saying it's there if you want it). As such be brought in line with other combat professions.

When it comes to Jedi's wanting to be the masters of PvP I think they have to consider two choices before they aim their displeasure at every other profession. If they're not moaning about Bounty Hunters, it's Combat Medics, before long one of them will cry out about Rifleman Cover. Unbelievably they've already called for Rangers to get nerfed, which is one of the most gimped combat professions in the game!

It is easy to get Jedi, just bloody boring and time consuming. Not at all difficult though.
