When it comes to Jedi's wanting to be the masters of PvP I think they have to consider two choices before they aim their displeasure at every other profession. If they're not moaning about Bounty Hunters, it's Combat Medics, before long one of them will cry out about Rifleman Cover. Unbelievably they've already called for Rangers to get nerfed, which is one of the most gimped combat professions in the game!
Anyway choices:
1) Jedi be the most powerful warriors, but be rare. If Jedi were going to be "uber" (as they say), then they should be special and gaining that status should not be guaranteed.
2) Jedi be as they are now; common and totally accessible (I'm not saying it's "easy" to get Jedi but I'm saying it's there if you want it). As such be brought in line with other combat professions.
It is easy to get Jedi, just bloody boring and time consuming. Not at all difficult though.
I prefer the idea of attaining Jedi being somewhat of a lottery; it's more congruent with how Lucas wrote StarWars. To put it crudely "You've either got it, or you ain't!", it's not something you can work hard for.
Han Solo could have trained as hard as he liked, but he'd have never connected with the force.
If Jedi were a lottery, then it'd be easier for SOE to control and throttle the Jedi population.

Another way to look at the Jedi thing - In PvE we have "end game" entities like Krayts, Goraxes, NightSisters, Kimoliga's, etc. They are speicalised things that are in limited areas and populations. I think Jedi's should be the "end game" equivalient of PvP, very powerful but very limited population.
Now, rewind about four months, I did do PvP, for one day. I was a rebel around AnchorHead and there was a lot of imperials pouring in to beat up their rebel neighbours. That was my first and last day of PvP and after that experience, I was calling for CM's to get nerfed too. (Although at that point I didn't even really understand about TEF's and insurance!!!).
MCM solo = paralyze > debuff > apply dots (paralyze now useless) > heal self > heal self > heal self > heal self > heal self > heal self > heal self > heal self > heal self > run out of mind > die (or doc buffs + food, stalemate).
how is that overpowered? The old combat medic WAS overpowered. It use to be MCM solo = toss poison > win.
Combat Medic now simply has many very useful options that a good player with a good template can use very effectively.

People will say this but, tell me what you think after they nerf us and you are lying on your back, incapped, staring up at the hot sun while the CM healer in your group shrugs and says 'Oops! Outta mind man, couldn't heal ya, sorry!'

mdoc cant heal paralize, thyroid ruputure, and all the other debuffs, just the dots. And um ever tried draining a mcm with mind buff, and 3 foods specifically designed to increase mind regain? These foods are cheap too, 50k for a supply thatll last you a month if you use 3 a day.A jedi will run out of force before he even can think about destroying the mind with these buffs and foods. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA....no wait seriously...hahaha
I always thought jedi would be something special in pvp, guess that /respec and double xp made so many of them there worthless. If you really truly believe this you ought to either practice more or just delete your jedi now. You have no clue how much better a single jedi is vs. a CM.
I guess ill jsut make my alt mdoc/mrifles and pwn again, i used to enjoy the cm duels, they though they could takeme, then they were on the ground crying. Oh well, maby cm isnt overpowered, maby jedi is underpoweredI almost busted a gut laughing at this one.

They are call DE-BUFFS for a reason! They put anyone who has doctor buffs back on level but not negative in numbers.
Jedi heals with just a single line from the healing tree are better than MCM heals. The only thing they lack is an area effect heal yet they get an infusion like doctors They use up less MIND points per heal and in retrospect have more healing capability than a MCM/MDoctor. The only way to beat a Jedi in a fight is to debuff his mind and attempt tocausethem to heal more than you do.
Frankly I'm insulted. Its like a slap in the face than any templateonly has to take 4/0/0/0 tobeat myhealing abilities (and thats withthe extra efficiency from 2/2/0/0 doc included)
You talk about foods that are sooo cheap and easy to use *notesarcasmand yet you act like Jedi aren't allowed to use those same foods.
