Well said!

I've got one too though. Don't stand around clustered together and expect to live.

lmao, I can't believe you guys complain about the T21 nerf, you guys whine more then pistoleers, they had ALL of their weapons nerfed and now they just suck without becoming a smuggler or BH too. Just be thankful that you can be insanely uber while only spending 92 skill points, everyone else has to spend a ton more just to be able to compete.

the fact that they had to 'think it over' and did not answer it right away, represents your future nerfage. Goodbye fools.

So how do you know they spent time, "thinking it over"? Is your bestest best friend a Dev? Or is your friend's brother's ex-girlfriends former collage roommate a mail clerk at SOE?

You know, we should make a thread, and sticky it.. call it "Nerf me here please!" Then we could have someintelligent conversations without someone crying nerf every 2 or 3 posts in a single thread....

Here seems as good a place as any to throw in my $0.02 about the state of Combat Medic.

As it stands right now, Combat Medic is grossly overpowered, to an unreasonable point. The fact that more or less the only people on these forums that don't complain about CM being overpowered are other Combat Medics should be a hint to this. I sometimes wonder if you even believe the blatant lies or misinterpretations you speak of, but I digress.

First, Combat Medic's role in PvP differs largely from what it is intended. Combat Medics were meant to be a group healing class with minor de-buff level attacks on which to aid the state of the battle. Right now, this is far from the case, and for the most part a combat medic can stop in its track a group with few to no doctors.

The basic principle alone of the CM poison dot is overpowered. An area of effect attack that effects 20+ meters, with a maximum range greater than or equal to that of any other combat profession. As of right now, a combat medic does not need to enter range for any time at all to apply poison to a group and then stay out of range. Also, even with the upcoming range nerf, a combat medic is still only vulnerable for minimal time as he/she applies the DOT and gets back out of range. Compound this ontop of the fact that even if the combat medic dies, it matters not since the DOT continues to tick. Then there is also the fact that combat medic is able to target the one unhealable pool, mind, and bypass any passive defenses such as ranged defense, dodge, or armor.

Curing Poison DOTs is, though simple in theory, extremely difficult in reality. Once a CM throws a poison, healers auto attack the CM and, and it takes precious seconds to disengage or be able to heal one's own poison be cause of this. The severaly limited range of poison packs makes healing non stationary group members more or less impossible when combined with server lag. Also, the reapplication time of a CM DOT is low enough where in the time it takes to heal your own and another's DOT, the poison has been once again applied to the entire group. It is impossible to keep all group members healed of poison regularly unless there is a ratio of 1 doc for every 2 group members, which is just unreasonable. The mere principle that the fastest ticking highest damage area DOT in the game can only be healed effectively (1 cure) as a master or near master of an eliet profession is flawed.

To those who argue the uselessness of CM in PvE, you are once again trying to make this class something it isn't. Like Doctor, there is no reason Combat Medic should be able to solo destroy missions, but instead, being the healer that it is, Combat Medic should instead aid groups in taking down high level mobs. Having a Combat Medic around to take down Krayts or Nightsister Elders, thanks to mind heals, makes it infinetly easier, to the point where I would say that the single most desired profession anyone would want with them when they want to take down a Krayt would be a Combat Medic.

Anyway...I'm probably gonna edit this later for typos and adding more ideas I forgot to put down or something. Thanks to whoever read through all that.

oblivion, and mr nerfy mcnerf..

You guys are complaining about Master CM with top quality resources.. I'm currently 1133 CM, and I can tell you that any elite combat profession owns me in one or two shots (either outright death from Area Strafe etc, or KD/special death).

I can only speak for my server.. but most Rebel riflemen that come to attack our factional base are TKA stacked as well, and have resists out the wazoo.. I can't throw poison further than 25m atm, which makes it a great game of strategy to get within that distance of a rifle/tka stack and live long enough to throw anything.. even if the poison does land (they resist 95% of the time).. you have to get back to them fast because they meditate it away...

I think that after the all the pvp deaths I've suffered working my way up CM tree (as healing anyone is instant death sentence too), at master, if I spend the time looking forHQresources, I should be able to get a few revenges of my own..

IF you still want to whinge about overpowered or other crap, go whine in a ranged class forum about looted ranged weapons that have massive mind disease dots on the buggers.. one shot kills.. =(

CM are very balanced in terms of skill point expenditure vs pvp effectiveness at the moment, compared to TKA or Rifleman (either separately or stacked).

I wish people would stop calling for nerfs and fight harder for their own profession to be improved if they feel so strongly that they are out of balance.. games would be a lot more fun if that were the case.
