BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

OH yeah I forgot to mention this since you probably dont this but TKA NEVER GOT A 75% damage reduction either. BTW I used to be a tka I know of what I speak unlike alot you peeps because I was playing back then when that patch went in. The answer to why to CMs didnt get nerfed was because there where none, they where total gimps and no one played them. So now you know.

I came against two fencers (A profession people seem to think is overpowered and causes too much dps) and a cm. The cm threw a health poison and the fencers spammed Body Hit 3. The poison did more damage than the two fencers combined. Reason being I had armor to protect against their attacks and they also weren't guaranteed to hit me like the poison tick.


So its not just the fact its mind poison,cm's can actually outdamage other professions. But I guess it doesn't matter really as the combat balance will change everything, but that is a long way off, as is the smuggler revamp so it looks like there won't be a change for a fair while yet.


I'd be happy if they would just fix the bugs with poison/disease incap and >64m range for the time being then I could at least kill them and not still die *shrug*

all the cm arguements are because they like being stronger than hard worked pvp templates.


and i dont discount my opponents...please refer the previous page where i took the time to put a long well thought out arguement together.


AND EVERY PROFESSION has the 75% reduction, even tka...and tka's own nothing. have you ever faced one and worn 80% kinetic armor. They get destroyed.


pvp should be about long well planned battles not a bunch of fighters who have to go to the cantina for 5 min because of a disease that raped them. Its not balanced its lop sided...look at the facts.

Only reason it's not on a 75% reduction is because its coded as a medicine. But yeah if you guys wanna use it as a weapon I see no reason it shouldn't be take the PvP modifier

dunno where do it stop huh??? i saw a fencer kick a tkm's a**e3 times with ease sniff sniff let's nerf the fencers next sniff sniff becuse unless your not that class its moaned at and nerfed, infact let's nerf the docs buffs, now thats an inbalance in any warbecause if your not buffed or you get corpsed and lose buff then its a waste of timegoing back but that will never happend because it BENIFITS YOU!! so go have a war without buffs and cm'sthat way it makes pvp 100% balanced

Where should I start. First this wasn't a 1 vs. 1. Second the fencers were probably using standard gaffi sticks which get the 75% pvp reduction plus a 50% penalty for no AP and THEN have to contend with the resists. If they switched to a vibroblade or stun baton they'd be doing alot better but would eat up their mind faster. Finally, I think you're mistaken or underrating the fencer dps. Even with all of that unless you had a spider venom enhanced poison the fencers would have to be hitting for 60 or less each hit. Fencers hit the 1.0 speedcap earlier than most other melee.


Yes I have to wear 80% kinetic armor when I do pvp since those few seconds of life it adds can mean the difference between winning and losing. TK's still land hits for 120-200+ each hit which is every second. Get your TK friend to duel someone in 80% kinetic and watch the pretty numbers scroll of the top of his head faster than you believe. TK's cut through armor like a knife (or vk). It just takes the a few seconds longer than before. But then again most PvP single encounters are measured in seconds.


Your arguments to add a 75% reduction to poisonsare very weak.
