Didn't do much testing on this to really get any data points, BUT Kavedawg and I did do some poison/cure testing on TC last night and I was rather disaapointed by the results.

I was using a fairly poor Cure B. No Adv Components, resources that averaged around 250 in the relavent stats. (Although some of the regular components use were fairly decent.) Experimented only on effectivness out to around 45%, I think. No actual effectiveness rating is given for Cures so I don't have a more solid number to work with. (Wish I had.)

Kave tossed C poisons at me. A P65 ()resisted on the first throw, but no the second.) Eff 213. 3cures to heal.

P100 (stuck first time) Eff 187. 3 cures to heal.

P127 (stuck first time), Eff 71, *1* cure to heal.

So yes, that means some of the fears expressed may be well founded, even though that one was a pretty lowe effectiveness. I have brought up the issue on the Corre list (even though it's not a Doc Top 5, ok.) So we'll just have to see if we can get clarification on how these things are really supposed to balance out. That last result did NOT make me happy. We did test with that last one a few more times, all with the same result, pretty much. (Even stacked with an AoE it took 2 cures to clear out the two poisoned states. While I can accept one shot B cures on an AoE, the one shot on the low-level C still seems out of whack to me.)

This test proves a formula that Cure Poison is only based on the Effectiveness (or damage if you will ) of the poison.

So if you have effectiveness of 80 (which I think what average B pack will have ) it will cure 0-80 poisons in one application 80-160 in 2 and 160+ in 3 (very consistent with your result).

However I beleive it is possible to make better B pack (with advanced components and very good experementation) up as high as 200 - which will cure most poisons in one go.

RIght, which is why I've been pushing for some answers on this. (I was doing some pushing even before the test, but checking the current formula on TC was pretty important to getting the best numbers to pass on there.)

i know there is los for poisons...but is there something wrong when i can be in field and get no los on a group member when using an AEheal, yet i cango out side the cantina to watch a duel andthrow an AEheal thru the walls to heal ppl in the room?? I never tried this before the other day...and i never really had the range...but since master i can get at least 50m range on my AE C's which means i can do this now...just interested if this is yet another bug or supposed to be this way?

As far as I know there were no LoS checks put on the ranged heals. However, I have not checked this since the last patch so there may be a chance that it haschanged.

this does not surprise me. Thanks Kave and Zarlor for testing this.
