oops hit to fast ...

when i look at the crafting medic tree i still find some CM components (dispersal mechanism, resilience compound). does that mean that there are still some crafted packs needed for CM (supplied by BE's then), or is this entirely for the new BE enhancers?

To answer yourquestion, NO the DEVS aren't listening. There laughing at all of us for wasting our time on this game as we play CM. In the military this would be called AFU and i wont say what it means becuase most of you probably know. For those you have no clue what AFU mean try this DISFUNCTIONAL. The is no real logic being applied here. Its seems there attempting to make everyone equal in stringent class structure. I hate it becuase they have changed the very essence of my individuality as a character. They have removed the tools and skills that i have become accustomed to. Now we are all equal CM with no uniqueness. We will be generic templates forced to take a roll that a DEV has mapped out for us with no chance to become better or be worse than other CM. As for DOC's, how many Doc's do you really see in combat. My experience has always been 0. Docs are usually in the rear at a safe camp or base. The CM is the one in the trenches fighting next to you.


Oh why do i bother. this will suck and no matter how much bitching everyone does it wont change a dam thing.

i think they got it all from those exit polls.. and if they are taking in fo on fixing the game from the peopel leaving they got it backwards... they should ask those who play on the servers not post 24/7 not leave the game... not cry the most... but the ones who are in the game playing...

although i am already thinking of great names for our enhancer stuff. like the fire attack enhancer could be super beans,,,, the poison enhancer could be chewing gum ( more saliva more poison spit).... diease ehnace could be laxitive ( ya know more poodooo to throw) the paralize ehnacer shoudl be called anti beer goggles... so when the charecter sees what happend the just freak out and freeze and cry.... again if they are doing this to us just wait a few when blaster fire will come out of pants using an inate ability.

Yeah I've been pretty curious on the results of those exit polls. According to John Smedley's Letter to the Community

It sure does seem like it. I wonder who wrote that for him. No offense there John... but if you are going to waste time having letters typed and sent out like that they should at least convey some sembelance of reality. the nerve... I feel a bit gassy now due to all the smoke blown up my .... Sorry jonh I Just don't see the correspondants your talking about in this forum nor do I get overwhelming positive feeling about the CU from the posts I've read.


Has anyone else been going through the other forums to gauge other professions overall opinions? I have with a few.

Doc's seem mostly unhappy, I also thought BE's (for the most part) seem double nonplussed (not happy) about the changes. Architects are annoyed they're being ignored again. Jedi aren't terribly happy.Pistoleers Commando and BH's don't seem to mind too much. I could be wrong just did some quick scans on those.


Whats my point? I'm really curious on finding overall opinions in profs. No plans to do anything with it "yet". But 1 idea is to stage a demonstration on one of the test centers. chanting "Curb your enthusiasm Address CM issues" or something of the sort. Just some thoughts. Die trying to save the many things I enjoy about this profession. Or get kicked. Anything to start up some dialoge with these people. Quell the concerns of your devoted player base.

As for our actual role post CU it's hard to say now as the elite profs are not avail at the blue frogs.
Ranged healing medium healing capability
What are we considered to have now? If it stands to stay virtually the same I don't mind. if it changes to be 1/2 that of what it is now then that's a drag.

Point blank AoE (Area of Effect) small healing capability.
Hard to say. Again depends on how it equates to our heals now (of course it's all relative to the changes they've made in our Ham.). Does this mean the closer they are the less we heal? Or are these different specials we use & 1 will require longer than the other to use.

Health poisons which cause health loss
Fine. Not pleased with the lack of crafting & what of the time required to apply them.

Health diseases which is now a regeneration de-buff as opposed to causing wounds
No big problems there outside of the time required to apply them. Not clear on whether we'll get area and single options or what...

Gains a Resurrection ability with a large resurrection sickness on the target
That's nice. The distinctions have already been made clear in terms of the overall skills for Doc Vs. CM not sure the reason for large resurrection sickness. But it's a start at giving CM's skills we've been wanting for some time. (with justifiable reasons).

Debuffs to Attack Speed, State Resists Dazes, Point blank Dazes

No direct concerns there since I haven't tested it out yet.

Hard to say. Sounds like a lot of the problems aren't being addressed for CM's for BE's & Docs

Its all been said before but the lack of terrain negotiation (now docs should get this too since they're considered a combat prof), new pistols req & lack of crafting are unfortunate to say the least.
Pigeonholed with 2 of the least damaging professions (short term damage from CM) Although master pistoleer does get a new gun that seems to do some good damage. & from what it sounds like mediocre healing abilities but some new skills. It's really hard to say.
What I find interesting is there don't seem to be many people excited about any of these changes. BE's aren't happy & I can just imagine the fear jedi have at this point with the push for non-solo groups. I imagine it's gonna be very tough for them.
Are devs listening and do they care? That's my question.

yeah I hear you. I wont try to guess what they are trying to do on the dev side & what they expect their returns to be. I am assured however that the curb changes are not for the better interest of theirloyal player base.

In my most recent posts I asked some questions on what the overall attitude is in other forums. I spent some time in the In Testing - Dev section & found an overwhelming majority of responses as being negative. Just a drag. I've been in the software dev business for 5+ years & have seen this happen far too many times. Proof that common sense isn't so common. Ugh why am I bothering... maybe I like this game a little too much.

P.S With the talk of so many people cancelling their multiple accounts it starts to sound like less of a sound financial decision...hmm

also an MCM/Mdoc.

Sorry to be the voice of dissent, but I think it's fine. I think that when you're wearing stun armor and someonehits you with a stun batonthen you use a medium AP weapon toshoot atthe sameopponent who doesn't have armor you shouldn't be dead before you do any damage to the opponent. There's enough problems with the current combat system that it needs to go. The protests and complaints about the decision to release JTL first are a prime example of that. All the leet players went out and hated the fact that JTL got priority, and now it's many ofthose same people who are saying that the upgrade they were whining to get should be scrapped.


What it comes down to is the people who spent a lot of time and money to become better than everyone else are now going to be equalized with everyone else. You'll just have to run out and spend lots of time and money and effort to become uber again. What's most ironic about it is... You'll enjoy it too.

The cu rv is not really to make anything better just different . soe dosnt care if you dont like it they know the bottom line is how to keep you 15$ flowing in every month. With this in mind they add "new" content just to keep things from getting boring. They care about fixing current problems ? Not likely.


Can you say Propaganda? well SOE knows that if they put out "something new" people will buy it, just becauseits new.


The curv is probably going to end all of my subscriptions, and at least 5 other accounts my friends have. nice job SOE.


The tc-ep3 is so bugged right now more than half the people cant test due to crashing to desktop (i cant play on one of 2 of my pcs because of this) They want us to focus on grouping lamo there are so many other problems they need to fix first typical of soe really.

Have you even played on tc-ep3 ? do you have any idea what your talking about ? are you even a combat medic, or maybe a doctor ?

As a weaponsmith looking at the master level weapons they are all basicly equal.

Prime example of dumbing down the game and turning it only into PVP. I enjoy challenge of crafting, but I guess it can be a little on the difficult side for some people.
