I first mastered cm right around the time publish 9 was realeased and since i have dropped it 2 times but allways find myself regrinding to master.I have finally realized that my toon was designed to be a mcm. Through all the patches and changes i still enjoy the profession. The main reason was watching a MCM around publish 10 totally black bar a players mind with a fire venom disease and thats all it took.

Why not become a CM? Medics are one of the most important professions in lots of games. And with CM you can also infect people. How cool.

When I started playing this game I didn't have a clue about templates or skill points or anything - I was completely a n00b. Eventually I was recruited/coerced (hee!) into joining a guild and after spending some time playing in guild groups discovered that I really fit well into a support character role. So I pursued Pistols for the crowd control ability, and dabbled in everything else.
I initially started down the path toCombat Medic for romantic reasons. I was nursing a secret crush on a guildmate and spentthe majority ofmy time in groups keeping him healed, so I thought that if I became a Master CM that I would be more effective at taking care of him in battle. As I worked at improving my skills however, I completely fell in love with the profession and I can't imagine giving it up for anything else (even Jedi.) There's a lot to be said for beingsomeone everyone hopes will comealongon missionsbecause I can keep my group healed even as I dish out some moderate damage of my own. And the ability to rez is a nice perk as well. So for me it's the support I am able to provide to my guild groups that's the main reason for being an MCM. Everything else is just gravy.

i plan my template very methodically, looking at damage done, resisted, slowed, weapons used. so that i can get the best damage done to damage receive ratio. Always with an eye to my medium/large scale PVP i do with and against a largely jedi PVP base on Bloodfin. Combat medic just fit this damage input/output best for me. if CM gets nerfed, or another proffesion changes i will always take whatever is best IMO

I became cm for two reasons:
1. To support the battle functionality of others, and;
2. Control a fight steadily over a longer period of time, I like to take my time.
These options make combat fun for me as I also use bh and pistoleer xxx4. It's very satisfying to see dots and debuffs stick, even though at first they appear do nothing, on closer inspection however when applied collectively and in specific orders they are very powerful.

I started out as a swordsman so I was always toe to toe with whatever we were grinding that day. Being new to the game I took my licks like everyone else and figured there had to be a way to even things out a bit. Then I was out with a group and saw somebody poisoning the hell outta the mobs. They were on fire and moving all slow and diseased and I thought not only was that cool as hell, it was the way I was looking for to equalize things. And as it turned out if you could heal everyone the CL 80's didnt mind taking the new guy along as much and once you could rez everyone wanted you around. Over time I learned to use the temp better and better and now I cant imagine not having it. Eventually I traded in my power hammers for T21s and it became even more evident how necessary it was to my temp, especially elect. drain. Anything that can get me a few steps ahead and closer to my comfort range is invaluable. Nothing is worse to a rifleman than an enemy that wont get off your a$$. I don't think that I'll ever have a combat temp without it since it seems to sync up with just about everything else. Those who don't have it don't know what theyre missing.

I started grinding for CM/com but decided when given a respec i was gonna go smuggler. I find MCM gets you a lot of invites into groups very helpful. especially if you ha some over zealous monkeys who like getting themselves killed. My main reason for becoing MCM is resuscitation it has to be one of the coolest little tricks in the game. However a few things that I dont like so much are, the way in which med xp is awarded means if you cant keep a group close together your runningacross a battlefield losing about half the xp available.

Guess i first touched on CM in the CU testing, worked wellas t early BH/Rifleman FOTM template. all i had was 4xxx and didn't think about the rest. i got really tired when on BH missions with jedi +cloak+ or FR. when they were low and i had no real way to stop it. so i dropped BH and went full CM and doc xxx4 instead. no 1v1 BH anymore but now when i do the jedi or anyone elsecannott get away orout damage me. CM is great fun, would almost be tempted to drop rifles before i thought on dropping CM if it ever came ot it.
