Thread: Why I became a Combat Medic
Forget Blizzard...Come back into the fold...Just think I be the CU will be before RotW comes out...they fixed the game! Scout's Honor!

Combat Medic Profession Changes
Pre-requisites change: from master medic and marksman ranged support 4 to general healing line, pre-combat medic line, and marksman ranged support 4.
Bio-Engineer Profession Changes
Pre-requisite: novice medic crafting line.
We know that there will be questions about the many changes to the healing related professions regarding Enhancers, Fire Blankets, Combat Medic offensive and healing ranges, details on stimulant packs, stim pack dispensers and other issues. We will be gathering feedback over the course of the Combat Upgrade testing, and we will make changes as needed as well as put together a FAQ to add to this article.
I'd like add I love this nerf!!!
I also liked the fact that it was a multi-facited profession. I could also craft if I wanted. I admit, I will never go to full blown only crafting professions because, for me anyway, it gets rather dull. But with CM I can craft if I feel the urge...see if I can make a poison or stim better than the last. Overall I have enjoyed CM more than any other profession, it's been a blast. For a few reasons I fear the cu will be the end of my CM days (wont go onto that rant again
Have fun all,

i became a CM to destroy anything in my path... i can solo kimogilas now and i couldnt before... also having pistoleer helps... i used to be a BE merchant but i got bored fast
OOOOOO Bio-E is the only crafting field that appeals to me. I might have to get back into it...
I know I'm picking CH back up now that I have so many spare points...
I'm a respec MCM...was TKM but after the CU, TKM just wasn't as fun.
I was already a Master BE, saw that I had the ability to craft Doc and CM enhancers so figured, "What the heck..." and I respec'ed my skills and ran around trying it out.
Much to my suprise it was a good fit, enjoyable to play as even a stand alone combat profession (mainly due to the heals) and as an added bonus I can craft my own enhancers.
I'm still discovering things about the profession...but then again...this is the CU, we're all discovering things about professions we've had for a while.
i was doc/tkm great combo but something was just missing
so i went cm and kept doc. It was something i questiond for a while ( if i did the right thing )
as with the medical proffessions if you don't know what you'r doing it can be confusing
so over a time of trial and error i feel in love with cm i think it is one of the funnist
professions in the game. it was tottal power i meen if some one dizzyd me id heal state
some one put me on fire id use a fire blanket posion and disease was a breaze to deal with
( altho i know alot of docs who got posiond and did not heal fast enoughf ) got to use those tool bars!
and when i relized my power of a 2 k mind area tick i knew it was where i would stay
its a good feeling geting hate tells saying "You dot Hoor" etc etc
Hearing jedi of a reptubil guild put me out there and say keep her alive at all costs
felt perty damn good when you knew how to use cm and all of its abilitys i suerly do not think
there was another profession that could be funner but i think alot of it has changed now
tho with cu and all tho i havent fully tryed it yet out but i never droped Cm
to me it was a social opeing met alot of ppl with it good friendships too.
I became a CM about a mounth and a half ago... the grind was a pain in the A** but i stuck through it. I always was better a healing up people and suporting them from behind rather than dealing the damage. I loved how much damage I could heal on a CL 80 teammate and get their respons: "holly crap!" With Mcarbineer i feel next to unstopable; getting a few shots in and healing up all the damage delt to me, i realydo feelunstoppable, at least until my mind ran out
CM has realy made me a very valuable member of any team, I love it.

I respec'd to MCM (sorry!)a few weeks ago and i havta say it has been one of the best choices i have ever made. The states.heals and the ability to revive people is awesome.
Also i found out you shouldnt be considering being a healer/rezzer in large PVP battle without medic 0440 cause of the extra healing mods and drag incap player.
When i unlock next phase i look forward to grinding up MCM
I was a post-CU noob and like a lot of others dabbled in other professions before finding the CM prof. I've been a MBH, Mcarb, MCommando, and TKM as well. While I do enjoy the combat professions, there always seemed to be something missing for me. That is until I met a MCM/MRifles on a group hunt and was simply amazed at the ability to heal and dish out the ranged damage. Seemed like the best of all worlds to me, so I quickly grabbed the Novice CM line andI have to say that being able to heal or dish out damage at range, keep a group alive during lair tanking and the player support role in general has really incresed my enjoyment of the game. When I finally get to MCM, it will be the only tag I wear with pride. I plan to drop my TKM line as it is now and stick with MCarbs/MCM template, as I do love my carbines.
And, just as a funny aside, with so many people grabbing 4000 in the CM line to have the self-healing ability, on a recent huntI was healing poeple so efficiently I received a tell to "slow down man, let me heal them too...I need the exp". I love the ability to keep a group alive during intense fights and join the group in dealing damage when needed. I don't know if there ever was a better profession!

I used to be a MD (hence my name...), but the CU made me feel WORTHLESS. Before I was the stud who would buff my friends at Tradegoods (Corellia- Radiant), and go tear up the Geo caves. After the CU I had no idea what to do. I respeced to MCM for area heals.... figured that was the best way to help my friends compared to cheap buffs (good decision now that there is a homeless auto-buffing DR on every street corner!).
Now the heals are rocking, and the damage of MRM make me a group/ guild favorite. The XP from healing also makes for great FS XP trade. A good trick when group hunting is to run up and hit the lair before anyone else gets there. Then heal yourself once, and get incapped. When you are back up, go back to normal MCM/MRM duties. As you kill each creature, you will get FULL med XP! That XP adds up QUICK.
