Yeah, I would like to get higher level missions also..

But what would it rate it on? Poison/Disease Damage, Your CM skill level, or what?

I would assume how it works is that if you are a Pistoleer for example and you have a pistol equiped it looks at your Pistoleer skill tree to determine the level of missions you get. Could work the same way for CM's just with no weapon equiped.

Nothing gets nerfed in CM, support OR combat, until they are worth the 169 skill points needed to get master, then we can talk about balancing. We shouldn't be as powerful a combat profession as commando, and we shouldn't be as powerfull a support profession as Doctor, but we should be more powerful as CMsthan we are right now. We need improvements as a combat or support profession, or as a little of both.

Like you've said, you've only been a CM a week. Welcome aboard. Any more nerf talk though and we're gonna set the goon squad on ya

I guess I need to catch up then. I don't get what you mean by "we should be more powerful as CMs than we are right now." And I certainly don't think we need a nerf, that wasn't my point at all. We are not as good as docs and not as good at combat, but we are better at medic then combat and better then combat at medical. So please explain to me what you be by being a better CM and maybe I will understand your arguement better. If you want, just PM me.

You are correct. We are better than medics at combat. However, for the amount of skill points we spend, we should be even better than medics at combat. CM's get their medical DoTs. That's it...no defense bonuses (did you know that musicians and dancers get defensive bonuses at Master?), no mitigation, no weapon schematics, no offensive bonuses.

We are better at healing than combat professions....but not by a lot compared to Docs. All we get is ranged and area heals, plus mind heal that we can't use very often. We get no state cures, cannot cure poison or disease, cannot res, cannot enhance, we can't even fully experiment on our own healing components. We can drag corpses, but that is a skill gained at medic. We can stop bleeds, but not any better than a Master Medic. We can cure wounds, but agian, not any better than a Master Medic.

I was upset because you said in your original post, if we are to be considered a combat profession and gain combat bonuses, they should nerf our support abilities. In my mind, that is asking for a nerf, whether the nerf is conditional or not. CMs do not need any sort of nerf, despite what all the kewl d00dz who run into PvP waiving their weapons like a drunken barbarian and then get upset when they die, think.

The problem is not CM DoT damage...The problem is broken range and AOE through walls and ground of ranged DoTs and having a HAM bar that is only healable by one class with great cost to the healer. Those are the problems.

All I am trying to say is...it's hard to consider us a combatprofession without bonuses, certs, or mitigation. It's just as hard to consider us a support profession with only ranged heals and sporatic mind healing. As we are right now, CMs should not get nerfed in one area if they receive a perk in the other.

Understood. Thanks and I agree with you now that I understand where you are coming from. I guess next time I should now my stuff better. After reading a lot more, is appears to me that many people (especially those that are outside the profession, namely the kewl d00dz) make my mistake and just don't understand CM and why it "appears" so powerful. And I am sure you are tired of explaining. But thanks for taking the time for me.
