maybe im stupid, but a doctor or combat medic that uses armor in battle is a total freakin moron. you wear full suit of composite? without using mindheal, you are completely useless anyway. the medics should not have any encumberance on the mind at all.

It depends on the situation. Using composite in PvP makes a lot of sense (of course you can also prepare with musician and doctor buffs to offset the secondary stat hit) since you will get shot up badly if you don't.

In PvE, it makes more sense to keep the armor on a macro - you keep it off most of the time, but can equip the whole set in a single click in case an enraged rancor decides to start chewing on you rather than the group. A good group should know how to get agro switched off of you, but 10 seconds of 800 damage+ hits are not fun even when you are buffed. In these cases, armor is a life saver (which is critical when you are also the rezzer in the group).

I seriously am astonished that any Combat Medic's could even think about crying about this new ability. This ability, on top of the one that allows you to keep any targets mind at 1 for a one hit kill from yourself or a party member, just continues to make you a dominant force in PvP. Don't you people think it was a little ridiculous that pre-patch you could toss an uber mind poison doing 400 a tick and incap multiple people in a 25 meter radius? Will anyone in this game even be happy? Perhaps you should stop attacking the "14 year old trolls" and take a look at your own 14 year old mentality. Posting this kind of nonsense gives you the "never happy" persona that no one wants to have, as it makes you look like an immature brat.

I personally like mindheal despite the 40 odd wounds it incurs with each use

It is meant to be used in exceptional circumstances. IF you dont have an entertainer in your party to help you in a camp well your just plain unprepared and its your own fault.

Just last night the mind heal was critical. A sole imp was camping the coronet starport with an ATST. I landed in covert and witness this imp in battle with ONE commando who decided enough was enough--tons of other covert rebels nearby doing NOTHING. I ranged stim the commando --he incaps the owner and flames the atst...atst responds now and starts nailing the commando. i keep spamming stim Es on him but gradually his mind goes down to almost nothing --he runs into starport ---i tell him to take out the atst--he says cant my mind--ZING healed! one blast of mind heal and his mind is back to full

he goes again--first has to deal with owner who is getting up from incap--he goes down again and goes LD (heh as if that will help him) so the he proceeds to take on the atst alone (despite my repeated requests for an invite =( ) i keep stimming him and heal his mind 2 times more so i end up with 150 wounds to each stat ..so what ! 5 min in cantina and they are gone! AND that atst is NO more!

If this is even still an issue, we shouldn't be crying about this new ability. I've already saved a few people using the mind-heal. I usually travel in a group that has a few entertainers, so it's not an issue with me. Too bad we don't have it ranged though, just makes it a little more exciting.
